We took the float mats out and floated around in the ocean, snorkeled a while, took a nap in the sun, had a great bbq lunch, and picked up some souvenirs for the adult kids back home.
All in all thoroughly enjoyed our day in HMC, while we had snorkeling in mind for our other two days this was just nice to chill and enjoy family time on the beach.

Our kids loved this beach- the huge sand bar and the swings made it worth the drive.
We went at low tide (around 1:00 in july) and the kids enjoyed snorkeling for sand dollars and sandstars on the enormous sandbar.

We visited Exuma for week at the end of July with our 4 kids - 3,7,9, and 12. Driving up and down the islands we saw quite a few beaches.
Kids had a lot of fun playing in the waves, there didn't seem to be a strong undertow the day we were there.

Then the whole family crossed the road and took the trail through mangroves and forest to suddenly have the most gorgeous beach and blue water displayed before us.

Loved the march of the Flamingos and bird feeding!! Great interactive experience for the kids and us.
Our three Pre-Teen children loved it, especially the bird feeding, where you can feed the parrots yourselves, and the flamingo show.

She was very informative and friendly - she has daughters and teaches school so she was a natural at keeping my girls entertained even when the subject matter was a little heavy for kids.
I've been there with friends and family and we had an amazing time.
