Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

In all respects, fine. He gave clear instructions on where and when for each stage and site. Spanish and English was used, as well as some Mayan. Augustine was our driver. Alberto gave useful historical context and advocated for the Mayan people. caitlynannem2023 's review was 100% accurate to our experience.

This tour and our tour guide Carlos were exceptional! We loved getting into the area before the huge crowds of people which really added to the magic of our experience. 10/10 would recommend this trip to someone who wants to experience Chichen Itza without all the people! The trip to the Cenote was also timed very well, giving us some private quiet time before the large groups arrived. My friend and I both loved this trip!

This was a fantastically paced tour. Great logistics. Great substance. Breathtaking scenes and experiences. Alondra and Roberto were awesome guides. Led by Alondra, she was very knowledgeable, had a good delivery, and could be a stand up comedian if she wants to. She is hilarious and made it fun. Importantly, she was very detail-oriented and always prepared us for situations where I would have made a mistake otherwise. The sites were breathtaking yet the Mayan cultural overview she gave was memorable and enlightening, and built on that content as we went.

I had been there before but went with someone who had never been there before. Its a long bus ride with no leg room. Since I am 6'4" it was very uncomfortable. It is something everyone should see once in their life. It was very hot and wish I had brought an umbrella for the heat. The Cenote swim and meal were OK My ankle was hurting so much I did not get off the bus to try the Tequila tasting.

The early morning option was great. We got picked up from our resort at 5:30am, and arrived at around 8:00am at Chichen Itza. Carmen was very knowledgeable and had so much energy, despite the heat! I appreciated how well she explained everything. There were many opportunities to take pictures.

Afterwards, we went to the cenote area for lunch and to swim. It was so nice and refreshing. I wished we had more than 2 hours at the Cenote though. The lunch was really good, and the water of the cenote was super refreshing in the 39 deg C weather

Make sure to bring cash on you to pay the Chicken Itza fee ($39 USD) and the Lifejacket fee for the Cenote ($10 USD)

Such a wonderful trip!!! We loved our tour guide (Freddy). He was so knowledgeable and passionate about Mayan history. It was an extremely hot day and he made sure we all were comfortable in the shade for each tour chat or in the AC in the tour van. Such a wonderful day - informational and fun. Thank you so much!

Great package two Mayan ruins plus mesmerising cenote and it was only group of eight. We had fantastic time. I can’t thank enough the team who took care of us. Everything was planned perfectly. We avoided big crowd at every point of our travel. Our tour guide Gabriel was very accommodative with a lot to tell. Chichen Itzá was very hot though we arrived first thing in the morning. I will advise to take two bottles of water provided by the team and don’t forget the hat. I will recommend to wear sport/ tracking sandals not trainers just apply a lot of sunscreen on your feet. If you want to take phone to cenote make sure you have water protective pocket for it and don’t take anything with you except the phone. Ik Kil cenote breathtaking beautiful. Coba was amazing much cooler than Chichen Itzá. Take a bike or tricycle taxi, please don’t attempt to walk as in Coba all the ruins spread around the jungle not like in Chichen Itzá where all in the same square. You will not regret your decision if you choose this tour.

It was a long day, and the transportation wasn’t too comfortable, but the trip was overall enjoyable and the tour guide had a lot of useful information.

My husband and I are visiting Merida for our first time and this was our first tour. This tour was perfect in every way. David was our driver; he made excellent time and was very safe. Manolo was a wonderfully cheerful, kind and knowledgeable tour guide. They both went the extra mile to make sure that we were prepared and taken care of. Lots of jokes, lots of information and a wonderful tour. The tour of Chichen Itza is breathtaking and powerful. Manolo taught us so many interesting facts about Chichen Itza it felt like we were taken back to 800AD. The Cenote was indescribably beautiful; the lunch buffet was very delicious and Manolo introduced us to a Mayan cleansing/ blessing ceremony. Flawless!

I’ve done many trips to UNESCO level sites and Chichén Itzá does not disappoint. It was far better than I expected. As to the operator, it is a nonstop and relentless sales pitch fest and guilt trip. Sure, you expect people to try to sell things and you want to help the local economy but geese. Just when you think it is over they are right back in your face.
