Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A relaxing experience at Halsa Spa. We did the couples float in an Ocean room. It was a totally relaxing experience, the staff were friendly and explained things clearly. The room and float pool were clean. We had an amazing experience. Thank you Halsa!

Arrived YVR and in need of a nap so I booked this last minute for a 90-mins thai oil massage with Ruby. Very clean comfy warm massage bed, and her pressure point is on point! Relaxed in the lounge area with tea afterwards. Nice and quiet and refreshed.

Surprised my wife with a couples massage for her birthday and wow did it work out great ! it was the first professional massage for either of us so we weren't sure what to expect. It was amazing ! Melissa and Jenny were incredible and made us feel extremely relaxed, comfortable, and cared for. We are both very grateful for the experience and will be raving about Barefoot Oasis and our two masseuses. Thank you.

My visit to this spa was a highlight during my trip to Vancouver. I booked a non-RMT massage with Ayesha and she was INCREDIBLE. I've had many massages--in LA, NYC, Thailand, etc.--and Ayesha gave me the best massage I've ever had. She has strong hands and never let up (in the best way). I felt truly pampered, healed, and cared for during our session; she was thoughtful to my requests/needs and was very intuitive. If I ever go back to Vancouver, I will definitely be booking a session with her again!!

Sabai Thai Spa in Vancouver is one of the best spas with great value for money. The therapists there are well trained and have excellent communication. It’s a wonderful place. Definitely worth a visit

I had the opportunity to stay at the Fairmont Pacific Rim for several nights and was fortunate to visit the spa twice. It is a beautiful facility and exceptionally clean; the locker room is attended to and well stocked. I’m so happy there is a mineral water enriched pool as part of the amenities, it’s hard to find something like that in the US. My signature massage with Julia was fantastic. The Canadian Wilderness body treatment, booked with Taylor, was amazing. Both therapists are very skilled. Be sure to order lunch to enjoy in the lounge after your treatment. I look forward to returning soon.

Since visiting Miraj Hammam Spa yesterday I've been floating on a cloud. This was a Mother's Day treat for me from my daughter, who accompanied me and also enjoyed this magical experience.

From the moment you enter this oasis of tranquility, you are treated with gentle care and consideration. Plus, you are, for the most part, the only guests in the place during your appointment time. This privacy factor is unique and very much appreciated. There's no one else wandering in and out while you are there and no need to worry about lack of privacy or "being seen" by anyone. In the changing room where you get the use of a keyed locker to safely store your clothing, etc. Sarongs, robes and slippers are provided.

First stop is the wonderful steam room the Hammam, scented with eucalyptus, lemon and orange. You can feel free to strip off, if you like, as you have the steam room to yourself (and your campanion, if you have one). Sit or lie down on the marble benches and let that gorgeous steam do its work. It's dimly lit, relaxing, calming and you don't have to listen to other people's random chatter (like in most other steam rooms/saunas). In the busy city, such privacy is a luxury to be savoured.

After 10 or 15 minutes in the steam, next stop is the detoxifying scrub. Just outside the steam room you lie on another marble table in the dimly lit, calm space while your body is invigorated with Moroccan black olive soap by an attendant wearing scrub gloves. It feels wonderful!

Back into the steam room for me while my daughter had her scrub, then we were shown into individual massage rooms. And I can honestly say, for the next full hour I received what was probably the best, most professional, thorough and attentive massage in my life. Thank you, Eva, for your expert care.

After I peeled myself off the massage bed, where I could easily have fallen asleep, I thought it was time to get dressed and back into the real world. But not so fast! As I left the room (wearing the supplied robe) I met my smiling daughter coming from her massage. We were led into the lounge, with its luxurious velvet banquettes and many pillows. Here we were invited to relax (velvet blankets were supplied) and enjoy little cakes and mint tea in gold-trimmed glasses on copper trays. Again, this space is private with no other guests present. We just sat there blissfully grinning, relaxed, marvelling at the wonderful experience we were having. My daughter had also thoroughly enjoyed her wonderful massage by Sarah, and we agreed the whole experience was 10/10 on all points.

Men, this would be a spectacular gift for your mother, wife, partner, daughter, or for you to enjoy with your significant other. Score yourself major points with this generous, thoughtful and very special gift.

    Time involved: 2 hours
Cost: $200 each (plus tax) (All things considered, not outrageous. Many places charge similar for a one-hour massage alone.)

Many thanks to everyone at Miraj Hammam Spa for an unforgettable experience!

Excellent massage services. Extremely professional staff and luxurious amenities! This was a great experience in the heart of Vancouver. Perfect treat after a ski trip to Whistler/Blackcomb!

My friend and i came for manicures after a trip that had largely been cancelled due to covid-19. The spa was still open and we were provided with absolutely excellent customer service!! We went early and enjoyed the sauna and eucalyptus steam rooms. Then we relaxed on comfy chaise chairs until our appointment. Our nail technicians were so friendly and did a great job. At the end they gave us tea and banana bread and we just relaxed for a while before heading home. Super clean facilities, all staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and all in all a great experience. We will go back again next time!

I had a great massage and enjoyed the steam room while I was there. Stefanie is an RMT and REALLY helped me with my jetlag and airplane neck drama. The front desk staff was very kind and thoughtful. Housekeeping even found my fitbit in one of the lockers. Looking forward to returning! Thank you especially to Sarah B!

It is an amazing experience! I have been struggling with Functional tremors from Functional Neurological Disorder/Conversion Disorder. It resets my nervous system. My Physiotherapist said she hasn't see been so calm for months! ( I was seeing her the day after Watsu.)

I was referred to this place and was told in advance that it was a no frills kinda place which didn't bother me. I've had thai massages before but this was the best thai massage I've had. The traditional techniques used did just what my body needed after a long business trip in Vancouver. Whenever I'm back in town, a visit to Leelawadee is permanently part of my itinerary. Highly recommend!
