Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Beautiful lake and clear water. It's a nice spot to swim around and take photos but thought it was just okay. It's quite busy so if you don't like crowds, I would skip it.

Stunning place to visit that is picture perfect, Spent about 1 hour here as part of our day tour. lots of activities to do, we did kayaking and it was very peaceful enjoying the views of the twin lagoon.

Also did some swimming and snorkeling before heading back to boat.

Climbing up the steps is not easy, if you have ok general fitness, you will be fine just go slow and steady. We did a tour, and several people couldn't make it to the top.

once up top of Mt Tapyas you are rewarding with super views overlooking Coron, views are 360 degrees, so you get a nice view of the valley behind Coron city as well.

make sure you take water with you, once you start climb no water available.

A Real highlight on our tour.

The hot springs are nice but very hot. We went in the afternoon on a hot day and it was a little difficult to relax when outside was hot and the water was hot. Maybe better in the early evening. The ride to get there from the town was 700 pesos on a trike and very bumpy. The entrance fee was 300 pesos and they charged my 11 year old the adult price not the student price. Kids pricing is only up to 10 years.

Out of the three places we visited during our Tour C Beach Escapade, this is my most favourite! I bought banana fritters at the store on the island to feed the fishes. There were varieties of species you can see and an hour wasn't even enough for me to do so. I would have loved to bask under the sun if only I had more time (better to book a private tour). You need to pay 100php for the boatmen to take you to the open sanctuary and corals (you also have the option to swim on your own, which I did) but when they left to see the corals, they were nice enough to allow me to hold on to the boat which was soooo cool!

We did Joiners Coron Island Super Ultimate Tour with Calamian Islands Travel and Tours on Wed, May 17, and Barracuda Lake was our second stop. The small dock was already packed with tour boats when our boat arrived before 11AM. Our guide announced that our boat cannot get any closer and we have to swim our way here. Boat crew helped everyone go down the boat ladder to the water. Some of us swam while some got pulled by boat crew towards the stone steps. Once on the boardwalk, we then have to climb up and down the wooden stairs single file to reach the platform to Barracuda Lake. The narrow stairs here were built over the rocks, certainly not for the faint at heart, and some steps have old tire treads on them for added safety. Both our seniors (mid-70s) were able to manage the stairs but one of them chose to just sit on a bench when we reached the small wooden platform. To get in the water, one could jump or use the short wooden ladder which have no hand rails. We saw our other senior in the water holding on to a life ring being pulled by our guide and later found her in the shade of a rock overhang, standing on a big rough rock while holding on to the overhang. My family did a little snorkeling here and took videos of the rock formations. When our guide Del noticed we brought an action camera, he joined us and gave us pointers on underwater videos. He suggested that my husband take off his vest and dive next to the rocks while he took underwater videos of him. Del then volunteered to pull each of us a few meters below the surface so we could capture solo videos of us surfacing the water, sort of pretend freediving. Since we were wearing life vests, once he let go, we immediately floated to the surface. I made the mistake of doing a frog kick and it didn't look flattering. Apparently, the thing to remember was to keep the feet together, pointed down, and to not kick. The clear deep waters and rock formations here are indeed perfect for freediving photos and videos. Best to use fins though. We were in the water for about 30 mins before we had to return to the boat. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Coral gardens was one of our stops on our day tour and it didn't disappoint, nice coral, variety of fish and other sea creatures to look at.

Of the half dozen place i snorkeled in Coron this was the best, world class scenery to see while snorkeling/diving. if you are planning one of the tours ensure it has the Coral Gardens on it.

It was a super impressive place to snorkel, sunken wreck top part is only about 5 meters from surface, so you don't need to scuba dive (although that would be even better) It can make out mot of the wreck from just floating on top of the water.

Lots of people duck dive with snorkel and you get very close to wreck, also chance to see some fish and other sea creatures.

I would put it in the Must-see category while visiting Coron.

We enjoyed a little picnic and a lazy afternoon on this pretty island. We did not do snorkelling this time and just enjoyed our time on the beach. My husband bought some beer at the shop. They seemed to have a good selection of snacks.

This is the lunch stop on a day tour. The food is prepared on board as the guests enjoy the stops and i's a lovely feast with under cover tables and benches to avoid wet weather. The beach itself is shallow and sandy and it's the entrance for kayaks going around the corner to the great cove.

This was third and last in the day's itinerary during our Joiners Island Escapade Tour (P1700/person) with Calamian Islands Travel and Tours. We arrived around 2:50PM on Thu, May 18, and several tour boats were already anchored here. Boat crew helped everyone go down the boat ladder to the water and we all had to wade in waist-high water to get to shore. With the sandbar and northern tip of Malaroyroy Island as our scenic background, our guide Jigs tried his hand on creating a fun "human drone" video for my family. We didn't get to explore the small island because one of our seniors (mid-70s) was a bit unsteady on her feet. We spent our entire time at the southern portion of the small island just posing for and taking photos. Highly recommend wearing aqua shoes or rubber sandals here in order to comfortably walk on some rocky outcrop. Our tour boat stayed here at Bulog Dos Island for about an hour before it was time to return to Coron Town dock.
