We were the first visitors and we were fortunate to visit it for a long time and to admire a magnificent, silent world built by the generous Nature, an outstanding architect and a great artist.
I have arthritis and my tour guide was thoughtful enough to get us permission to park right at the entrance.

Our guide was really knowledgeable and taught us some surprising new things about nature, Israel and Torah.
The hours flew by and a great time was had by all (and we even learned something or two - both about the animal and nature kingdom and even more about the applicable biblical sources.

Sataf Nature Trail Jerusalem 7.4 mi away

The Sataf nature trail offers amazing views and a few different hiking options.
You'll need a car to get down here easily but keep driving after the main car park to the spring.

It made a good full day to spend a couple of hours exploring the fully-excavated rooms and bell caves at Beit Guvrin national park as well as exploring the unexcavated rooms with the Dig for a Day guide.
This activity has a well deserved Certificate of Excellence - the organization is in Jerusalem but the digs take place in Beit Guvrin National Park, an hour from Jerusalem.
