Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had a truly enjoyable experience. The group size was large and this was the only detraction. The guide did a great job relaying everything in both English and Spanish.
The boat trip was absolutely great fun and the process of mussel farming fascinating.
We had an abundant supply of the very drinkable local wine and liquor along with copious fresh mussels. So when the Spanish dancing music came on we all clapped and moved to the rhythm. A great atmosphere!
Enjoyed the Galician countryside and departed with a great appreciation of this part of the world.

This turned out to be a fantastic choice to see multiple points of interest, while leaving the driving to the bus driver. We don't normally do group tours, but are so glad we did this one; it crossed several "places to see" off our list. The tour followed the itinerary as described so we visited a small, family run Albarino winery, scallop shell church, beautiful beach, estuary & horreo village. The variety was wonderful. Our favorite was the estuary boat ride & seeing the platforms where mussels, scallops and oysters are raised. The all you could eat/drink mussels and Albarino was delicious and fun (best mussels I've ever had!). Our tour guide, Ana, was super - friendly, helpful, and attentive to the few of us English speakers. She narrated high points along the way and kept things interesting. I can't believe we got all of this for the price; fantastic deal! It was a long (9 hr) day, but so worth it! Highly recommended.

My husband and I had the pleasure of being taken on the Rias Baixas mussel farm and wine tasting tour by Juanjo. He was very knowledgeable and showed us some of the true gems in this region. We were able to have a private tour and tasting of a local winery with some of the best albarinho wine in the region. Additionally, the mussel farm boat tour was interesting, but the highlights were the unlimited delicious mussels and wine. We explored a few other areas in the region and learned a lot about the history and culture. For lunch, Juanjo got us into a local restaurant that served an endless supply of seafood and albraino wine. We truly had a lovely day and appreciated Juanjo's time and company. Would highly recommend this experience!

Juanjo is an joy to work with, he took us to three wineres and a lovely lunch under the vines. He is thoughtful and made a great itinerary for my partner and I. He helped me along with my mediocre Spanish and made the tour a highlight of our trip. I recommend him to anyone who wants to experience Albarino this way.

The local wine shop and owner offered a fabulous tasting of local wine and cheese. He described each cheese, its origin story and where it’s from. Similarly he talked about the wine and why people like it.

We had a really memorable day trip with Carmen and JJ. We visited a family run vineyard in the Albariño region and tasted their delicious wines followed by a boat trip to the local mussel farms where we ate a wonderful gourmet seafood lunch on board. We rounded off the day with a visit to Toja before making the 40 minute drive back to Santiago. It was a fabulous day for which as a family we will remember fondly forever. I cannot recommend this trip highly enough, it was honestly one of the best we’ve ever done while on holiday.

I did two day trips with Juan: Salnès Valley (Albariño) & Ribeira Sacra. Both days we visited both boutique & larger wineries for tasting and visits. Juan will tailor his tours based on your interests. I’m a wine nerd so I enjoyed the visits with passionate winemakers making wines they love and involved at all levels of production. It was such a treat to experience harvest in both these wine regions of Galicia. In Salnès valley we made an unplanned stop to see the seafood auctions in Cambados.
In Ribeira Sacra, we made stops at miradores to take in the grandiose and magnificent views.
The lunch stops both days at small restaurants were also a true treat.
Juan picks you up in a very comfortable Jeep & makes sure you are comfortable.

We had the BEST time exploring Rias Baixas with Juanjo! He picked us up in a comfortable vehicle from Santiago de Compostela and showed us Galicia’s beautiful wine region. He seamlessly translated Spanish to English when needed, and introduced us to local wine makers and their families. I can’t think of a more perfect day! If you want an authentic and local wine and (delicious) seafood experience in Galicia, book this tour!
