Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The crew and organisation of this trip is great. The downside to travelling in a traditional boat is that it's rather slow, so you spend about 2.5-3 hours travelling to and from the islands in total, including the hotel pickup. This is a large group tour, so you're on a boat with about 30 people, with 4-5 similar boats at every stop. There is loads of space to spread out however.

Snorkeling is good, I saw loads of unusual fish and animals, but other travelers mentioned that Koh Rok has better visibility and more corals.

Lunch was tasty, the islands are beautiful. Worth a trip if you have time on your hands and good value for money, I wouldn't do it again however.

    Very nice experience.
We choose the longtail boat knowing it will travel longer and we did enjoy all our time on it.
We head to the 1st island to snorkel 30min, we head to the 2nd island and snorkeled 30min, we head to the cave (it is on the 3rd island) and stayed there other 30min (I had my diving torch so could see way more than the other tourists) and as final stop, we head to the 4th island to have a delicious lunch and the longest break (=1h).
I am glad we took our find because they didn't provide that, but they did give mask and snorkel.
I can recommend this tour and I hope my review helps in understanding the 4 island set up :)

Amazing! Best snorkelling trip I’ve been on by far - staff were very friendly and gave really good tours of all the snorkelling spots, seeking out sting rays, starfish and even a turtle to show us! Definitely worth booking whilst you’re in koh lanta! At the end they took us through the mangroves to see the monkeys as well - they really went above and beyond!

Our Long tail tour included pickup at 0830, 30 min to pier, Koh's Chuek, Kraden, Muk(Emerald Cave) &Ngai.
It was a 50 min ride in a very loud, diesel smelling, overcrowded boat(24 +3 crew) to the first snorkeling stop Chuek. Among many other boats and people. Lots of fish to see but the water was so churned up from the boats it was dirty and cloudy. Could have passed on that stop. Next stop, 20 minutes to Kraden. Snorkeling on a large reef that is sadly quite brown but water was much clearer and lots of fish, giant clams and urchins to see. Had a nice lunch on the beautiful beach there. The crew were very friendly and helpful. Next stop 25 min to Muk. A beautiful 80 metre swim( life jackets if needed) guided with light through a beautiful cave. The water appears green and so peaceful. Through the cave you emerge on a stunning beach surrounded all sides by cliffs and trees. This was the best part of the day!. Be sure to give the guide your camera to have once you reach the beach. We were lucky it was not crowded , only our group. Back on the boat and had engine trouble. Sat for almost an hour bobbing in the heat. Understand things happen but everyone was ready to head home, we were already over an hour behind schedule. Went 25 min on to Ngai for a quick stop and drink. Unfortunately our time there was cut short , it's a very pretty beach with turquoise water. Next 50 min back to the Pier at Koh Lanta and 25 min truck ride to hotel arriving back at 6:30 pm It was a super long day , in my opinion too much travel time to balance the experience. It ended up being a 10 hr day with only about 4 hrs of experience and not great snorkeling. I'd recommend hiring a speedboat, go to Koh Muk early then find a nice island (Ngai ?) for a couple of hours then home. I must say the crew was really good and it's pretty impressive he was able to fix the motor / starter without many tools on board.

This trip is well worth the money. Fast boat, expert crew and free cold drinking water. The cave swim is a blast and quite an experience. The locations for the stops offer a fantastic panoramic view of this beautiful coastline.

Family of 7 waited at hotel lobby for agreed pick up time but after 30 min no show. Rang the number as requested if there was a no show and just got a recorded message. There were 4 other numbers and finally got to speak to someone using the final number to be told to wait for her to find out the issue. Call back was prompt in responding to say captain had a problem with the boat. We were left having got up early with no trip and a potentially wasted day. My expectation is that back up boats should be available but clearly they are not!!
