Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- DiegoLondon, UK2,439 contributionsAs beaches go, this is not exactly the seashells or the Mediterranean! But as english beaches go, this is pretty good, with lots of bars and restaurants and things to do! Well worth a weekend trip, but that’s about it! And a great place to catch up with old friends too! 😀Written 1 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Dolphins7 contributionsAmazing, beautiful long sandy beaches, close to town centre, lots of bars and friendly people. - Tracy K3 contributionsLovely beach. I read in advance that dogs are only allowed on the south beach passed the fancy bridge where the groynes start. My dogs loved it. Took my mum and found plenty of seats for her to sit on. Parking was free where we parked near to the docks. Enjoyed a lovely gelato on the sea front. A lovely quiet beach with some lovely views and walks. Would highly recommend.Written 10 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Joss RWilloughby, UK93 contributionsA beautiful unspoilt bay. Be prepared for Welsh weather (can be wet and windy) - the day we went the day was dry but windy - however the walk along the beach is amazing. Quite a walk down to the beach but on a good path - remember you've got to come up again!! Wear sturdy shoes. The View cafe (near the top of the path) makes a perfect stop with views of the bay.Written 10 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - David RostronPerth, Australia66 contributionsHad a great time here, with young kids and extended family. The tide comes in enough to create little pools, making a safe water hole for toddlers. The sea was nice, relatively clear, and despite being a fair way out, it remained quite shallow.Written 3 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - hammerfan1956London, UK98 contributionsI love this beach
The car park is expensive but kept clean
There are signs about dogs but no one seems to read it
The rnli side says no dogs permitted beyond this point. Lots of dogs running around without their leads
The other side says dogs can be off the leads after mill rock. This wasn’t happeningWritten 16 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Alexandra NistorBanbury, UK57 contributionsVisited Horsey Beach in August and had an unforgettable experience! The beach is beautiful, clean, and peaceful, but the highlight was definitely seeing the seals up close, both lounging on the sand and swimming in the sea. It’s a fantastic spot for nature lovers and a great place to relax. Highly recommend a visit if you’re in the area!Written 1 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - kewpie1Seneca, SC351 contributionsIf not for the chill in the air one might be mistaken for being on Kauai with the occasional rain shower, breeze but the similarly stunning beaches are remarkably wonderful!
