But the view from the top is great. Shame some people leave letter and graffiti. It is a bit smelly in the stairway. Maybe a spring clean is in order from a volunteer group. The top affords amazing views of Bristol, the path is a mixture of tarmac and unmade gravel. There are toilets and the cafe is nice, lots of choice including for vegans. Coffee is so-so, prices are pretty steep but service was really good. And there’s a 10% discount for parkrunners on a Saturday morning. Exquisite Tudor wooden panelling and carvings, fireplaces, engravings and interesting furniture.
We visited close to Halloween so some rooms had ‘ghosts’of previous residents bringing the history to life.

Not worth a special trip, but do pop in if you are already on the estate.
