Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Came here in late-September 2024. Explored all three floors of the observatory tower, with decent views overlooking the Clifton Suspension Bridge on the third floor. The camera obscura was an interesting experience. The caves leading down to the open air balcony on the cliff side have some steep steps and you do need to duck at points (they do provide hard hats at the start of your descent). We spent around 45 minutes here in total.

I visited Bristol Activity Centre on 01/08/2024 by myself for quad biking. I arrived early, but was warmly welcomed by Steve, and I was then taken inside. Everyone was respectful and engaging. I felt like I was treated well.

I was informed of where the toilets were, and the small cafe they had on site. There was plenty of seating while I waited for my session to start.

The quad biking experience started with a very short walk to a safety induction room, where a five minute video played. From here, Steve helped me get the correct helmet, then we went to the quad bikes. Steve clearly explained how to start it, and he also reminded me of the key points from the video for all of our safety.

The actual riding of the quad bike was really fun. They have a small course to get used to the bike, then as long as you don’t do anything stupid, you’ll be moved to the proper track. The proper track had a very good amount of hills, bends, loose and tights. You follow your instructor, but from my experience, they’ll go at a pace they feel you are comfortable with.

The only thing I would note, is there is a one way system. Ubers will need to stay left and go around or drop you off in the big open area after you go through the gates. The signs for the one way system did not exist from my observation.

Overall, I had a very good experience, and I would definitely recommend Bristol Activity Centre to friends, family, and random human beings with human feeling on the internet.

Everything about the karting was 5*, from the prep, the help with helmets, clothing, advice, feedback etc. General time-keeping was a bit out and the plan of "we'll call you in 20mins" didn't really happen from both reception to collect a race suit and track-side, so we had to keep our eyes on the start times of sessions. Also, the guys around the track were brilliant, but as much as they were quite rightly firm with drivers not observing yellow/red flags, I do feel they were too lenient were repeat offenders on yellow flags who regularly looked to continue racing and overtake and just created extra 'traffic' for those trying to get some 'free' track under fair circumstances

Fantastic experience as a school group - great induction/getting to know you/team building day for our Sixth Form. The staff were responsive, friendly and enthusiastic. They also took group photos and shared these with us as momentos for the day. Thank you!

I have been to Airhop two or three times through being invited by friends. It's like Bouncehouse but much better. Instead of just trampolines there are also slides, dodgeball courts, battle beams, a course with a timer and more. Fun for anybody willing to run around and get VERY hot but probably more for kids and birthday parties.

This was by far the best escape room we have ever done! We went with our two teenagers as a birthday treat. The location was awesome, and the hosts Freddie and Quinn were fantastic. They set the scene from the get go and built the suspense, they absolutely made it. We cannot wait to go back again and complete their other rooms.

Went with a small group (6 only 2 dropped out despite paying!).
Great fun but very hot and physical. One of the group dropped out part way through as too hot. I nearly joined him. Possibly too long on the track but shouldn't really complain about that. It was a different experience and despite being quite expensive, definitely worth the money. I don't think I'd choose to go again as I felt this was a one off experience!

Haven’t done the paintball thing for several years but really enjoyed our morning on Hamburger Hill. The introduction was professional and the guys were very safety conscious. The layout of the site allows many games to be played over the coarse of a couple of hours. There were 3 generations in out team and we were all able to fully engage and enjoy the experience. Smiley faces all around..

We had a great afternoon learning about, tasting and making gin. Both interesting and good fun, plus we came away with a bottle of gin...waht's not to like!

Fantastic cocktail bar - we visited pre-Covid and were delighted to find it was still there. On a two night stay in Bristol we went both nights. Breakfast of Champions is heavenly- I almost feel like making the journey now (over an hour) specially to have one! We had ours pre-dinner but it would be fabulous as a dessert- a glass of frozen perfection 😍
Also really friendly staff, warm welcome and cosy surroundings. Highly recommended

We've done all three of the rooms at this venue and they are excellent! Really well thought out, fun, clever and extremely immersive. Both Matt and Jamie are wonderful hosts! Really passionate about the games and generally lovely guys who understand escape room enthusiasts 😁 thank you so much for having us. I hope you get more rooms there so we can come back in the future ❤️

Angie and Steve are great: expert glassblowers, enthusiast and sympathetic teachers and very safety conscious. We each made two small vases and a coloured paperweight . Just a brilliant morning- thank you
