Fantastic day out on this wonderful ship.
Loads to see and do. Entrance fee includes the museum and entry to the dry dock underneath which is fascinating. Learnt so much not just about the ship’s history which is amazing but also the genius that was Isambard Kingdom Brunel.
We spent a good 4 hours exploring and enjoyed it so much. You can see the cabins and even play dress up if you like in Victorian era clothes.
Would thoroughly recommend a visit when you are next in Bristol.

Went here with 4 colleagues for a retirement party. It was tiny, cosy, personal and utterly brilliant. A show that was split in 2 halves, each with a different presenter. Both with different styles. Both excellent. I had no pre-conception or expectation on this, but was very pleased and it suited out purpose wonderfully.

The water taxi service this company provides is excellent. I got a day ticket, so I could explore a wide area of the city (from Temple Meads all the way to a walk up to the Suspension Bridge and back) in a day, and I used it as a hop on and hop off service. All 3 crews I encountered during the day were excellent- friendly, welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for them helping people with pushchairs and dogs. The boats were all punctual and timetables & fares are clearly displayed on each boarding point. Just wave to flag the boat down and pay by card onboard. Thanks to everyone on the crews on August 29th- you made my holiday!

Lovely place. Worth to visit. Nice views from the top. Stairs are steep. A little hike is involved. I liked it. Park is nice for a walk.

We travelled all the way to Bristol to come to this musuem and see the 'Doris the Pliosaurus' in the flesh. What an experience!

We spent most of the day in the museum and loved every minute.

If you head to Bristol, make sure you come here - you will love it!

Whilst in Bristol for the day, we visited this museum, set over a number of floors.
Many things to see and do. Features the history of Bristol.
Surprised to find that it was free entry.
Great view out from the top of the building too.
No problem in recommending. Well worth a visit.

This has to be one of my favourite shopping centres! You aren’t shut in but you are under cover. It looks really modern and has every shop under the sun. There are lots of eatery options too so once you are shopped out you can stop for something to eat!

I would give 5* but due to the seating not being staggered both my daughter and myself couldn’t really see very well as we are both only 5’2” and had 2 men in front who were tall which didn’t help. We goto the theatre a lot especially West End and this is the first theatre we have found where the seating to be like this… we were continually going from one side to the other looking around people in front.

A remarkable and vast place of worship is outstanding in every way. Deemed a superlative example of English Gothic style, it was inspiring to gaze at it.

A beautiful tower and spire extends heavenwards to 84 metres. Leaving the enchanted exterior it was wonderful stepping inside.

Stunning ornamentation and decorative flourishes abound. Particularly the columns and arches plus the breathtaking ceiling.

200,000 souls are interred in this beautiful parkland; an amazing site that was saved from developers and obscurity by the local community. I can recommend the tours, the cafe, their events like outdoor film screenings/talks, or just a quiet wander. Spot the war graves in the over grown areas, that are maintained by the war graves commission, moments of tidy in the wildness. The staff are wonderful and the exhibits are so informative. I've been to talks about cannibalism and Crimean War-era field surgery. I just love this wonderful place so much! Get yourself down!

A fun afternoon out by the Clifton suspension bridge; we went to the cafe tucked behind the observatory which did very good drinks & cake with lots of open space for the children to play in. The only downside is the 1 x outside toilet which everyone seems to want to use at the same time! The staff reception were very friendly & accommodating, and we started with the caves first & fun Easter egg trail. The decent into the caves can be very steep, narrow & slippery-and difficult for people to pass-and there are hard hats available too, as I’m only 5’11 and I had to crouch down to avoid bumping my head (tall people beware). The unique view at the bottom is worth it! The ascent is somewhat easier. We then made it up through to the top of the observatory, which has a lot of interesting views (see pics). The camera obscura was really interesting as it’s only visible when the room is completely dark & the kids really enjoyed panning the view. The round trip takes just over an hr & provided a memorable & interesting family activity.

I can't recommend the Wills Memorial Tour enough! I absolutely loved it when I went for the first time and have made it a point to bring every friend visiting Bristol along. Gary and Sara do a fantastic job leading the tour, making it both informative and fun. Their passion for the history and architecture of this iconic building really shines through.

It's also wonderful to know that the money from ticket sales goes to support the Children's Hospital charity, making this experience even more worthwhile. If you're in Bristol, don't miss out on this amazing tour!

Visited for parkrun, taking in the steep uphill mile and a bit path and back down again. The top affords amazing views of Bristol, the path is a mixture of tarmac and unmade gravel. There are toilets and the cafe is nice, lots of choice including for vegans. Coffee is so-so, prices are pretty steep but service was really good. And there’s a 10% discount for parkrunners on a Saturday morning. Parking here can be tricky at busier times.
