Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Frances BYorkshire, UK2,700 contributionsThis bookshop is something special. I love a book shop and this one certainly doesn’t disappoint. It is crammed with all sorts of wonderful books to choose from and even provides some lovely reading nooks.
What I also really loved about this bookshop was its history,
The bookshop dates from the 1580’s when it first began selling books. It’s amazing to think of the people who will have entered this building over the years. I feel if its walls could talk, then they would have some very interesting tales to tell.
The bookshop is positioned over a couple of floors and I love that you can just browse to your hearts content.
The staff were friendly and welcomingWritten 23 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - iulius bSaffron Walden, UK1 contributionWe have taken the "Fudge making experience" tour on a cold January Saturday morning and we have not regretted it. The staff were welcoming and knowledgeable. We were clearly shown what to do to protect ourselves, what to pay attention to and how each stage is influencing the final product. Throughout the tour we were given the chance to interact in the fudge making process and were given detailed and, at times, funny facts about anything fudge. Best of all, when we finished the last fudge making stage we were given fudge slices of our choosing. By the way, once the fudge was cool enough we were allowed to taste our own production. I recommend this experience to both old and young. Your taste-buds will be grateful to you.Written 12 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- brmusicmanChicago, IL3,152 contributionsRight in the center of Cambridge.
I had a nice time browsing the large and well-presented collection.
I especially appreciated the huge selection of greeting cards, including a large section devoted to the charming products of Cambridge Imprint.

- everything g was soo magical for my little one with the loft and grotto!
The Santa however cleverly doesn’t have much a report with kids. He wasn’t very engaging with my child and said a few things that were not age appropriate really. It was as magical as previous years (when we’ve seen Santa) he didn’t really know how to talk to my child and I found him quite confusing myself. The rest was wonderful though and very lovely. The shop also full on lots of feelings of magic for this time of the year. Didn’t regret going but new Santa is needed 😅Written 2 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Graham DFelixstowe15 contributionsFantastic selection of sweets, treats and chocolate. Much of the stock is, however, high end so while it is a fantastic place to browse as a visitor to the city, it is probably rather expensive for family groups. That said, I was able to choose some wonderful presentsWritten 8 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It is a good shop if you want to buy some momentos of your visit to Cambridge and there are a variety of gifts depending on your price range. Well worth checking out.Written 25 November 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - philipLondon, UK381 contributionsThe shopping centre is right behind the Newmarket road Travelodge & it’s spread over a long distance. It’s open until late & there a m&s food hall, Asda supermarket, Nando’s, Costa, B&M & the list goes on. It will take you a good hour or two to check all the shops out & if you google the beehive centre it will list all the businesses on the site & its opening hours. It would be ideal in the summer months as it’s open a lot longer & it will give you extra time to check it all out. I’ll be back.Written 8 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Ryan BColchester, UK86 contributionsI find this shop strange.. dont get me wrong the prices are average and it is nicely laid out...
However they put these stickers on their products that when you pull it off rips the box... for a specialist in collecting things this is strange...
I was going to buy loads of thier pop figures but I dont want to damage the box before even taken it out of the showroom...
Wasnt just the pop it was everything... such a shame as i wanted loads of things from their..
