#1 of 90 Sights & Landmarks in Cambridge
Beyond the thousands memorialised, the site is blessed with an amazing little chapel characterised with a brilliant mosaic, powerful maps, and a truly unique set of doors.
The views over the countryside and the grounds are magnificent and the immaculate rows of perfect graves stir the soul.

On the river it gives those relaxing in a punt a memorable view of our heritage of Gothic English Architecture being built from the mid 1400's to the early 1500's.

The, to me, young men in the Porters' Lodge were very friendly and welcoming and knew a great deal about the history of the College and its extensive sites and buildings.
They have a fantastic range of architecture and a Henry Moore statue near the back of the college site.

Some of the buildings have hardly changed since the middle ages and there are some well placed seats to enable you to admire the views and soak up the history.
His room has a view of the Mathematical Bridge but there are far more interesting aspects to the college.

We were fortunate to be privy to these sights as the shadows stretched just a little further along their daily journey.
Okay, full disclosure: I attended Christ's College, so my view may be a little biased.
