Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I notice most of the reviews here involve people taking their kids (often very young) on the tour. Just to give a different perspective, I will be 74 in a few weeks time, and I loved it!
I visited Cambridge in 2021 for the Cows in Cambridge Trail. I became aware of Dinky Doors then, partly because they designed themost popular cow on that trail, but also because I accidentally spotted 2 of the Dinky Doors. I didn't have time to follow it up on that visit but vowed I would if I ever visited Cambridge again.
Just spent a week in Cambridge doing the Cambridge Standing Tall trail. This time I had allowed plenty of time to look for all the Dinky Doors so I bought the Online Tour. I also had the map but, to be honest, maps may as well be Sansrit written on papyrus for all I understand them! The Online Tour was excellent and I found every single one. As a bonus, I took the advice to jump on a number 13 bus and so discovered the wonderful place called Wandlebury. But for Dinky Doors, I would never have had that experience.
The Dinky Doors are such fun. I can't help thinking that the main point of them is that they are pointless! They are miniature what if machines that claim to do impossible things! But they are quirky and fun and I loved finding them.
For the record, Dinky Doors have also contributed a giraffe to the current trail. Dinky Doors is clearly woven into the fabric of Cambridge life and I think they fit Cambridge well for I find it a relaxed and slightly quirky city. I love it.

Very interesting, getting to see different parts of the city and go around nice places. Clever enough. Recommend to start it early, it will take you around 3 hours to complete it.

Before we visited Cambridge we had heard of the “Dinky Doors”, which are quirky Miniature Sculptures hidden away throughout the City.
Visitors to Cambridge are able to purchase a Location Map for the Dinky Doors (cheapest option) or to obtain a Physical Printed Map or alternatively to obtain the Online Tour using Google Maps.
We had great fun in locating some of the “Dinky Doors” whilst wandering around the City.

I’ve been to Cambridge quite a few times so this was a fun new way to see bits of the city. Took my friend for her birthday with her two very excitable pups and had a great time despite the rain!
Some of the puzzles were harder than others but all very much achievable and I think we only used one hint. The app worked well but did drain battery so take a charger pack with you!
The first stop wasn’t particularly easy with the noisy dogs so just one of us went in but everywhere was more than happy for us to take the dogs in and 95% was outside.
We stopped for coffees and food on the way round and tried places we hadn’t been before which was nice.

The Cambridge Quest was really great fun. My 13 year old daughter and I loved solving the clues and completing the challenges. We've played other interactive quest type games from other companies and this was probably the best and certainly the best value as you pay per team not per player unlike some of the others we've played. Got to see things in Cambridge that I've previously overlooked and learnt some history aswell. Would totally recommend this quest, we're off to do the Oxford quest next.
