Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- Tracy WarnerNorwich, UK42 contributionsA lovely peaceful haven in the middle of a busy town. Very quiant very old glass houses with a beautiful collection of plants. For the price of only £7.70 I think it was well worth the visit, my tip is keep your ticket as then you can go in and out when you wish , and get something to eat in the town, as the choice of the on site cafe is very limited, or even take a picnic as many lovely places to sit.Written 10 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - NatalieMelbourne, Australia83 contributions路线:Start from the nearest train station and head straight to Cambridge Station. Make sure not to buy a ticket to Cambridge South or North Station as they’re a bit far. (By the way, I bought a railcard on Trainpal, and it saved me a lot of money. No need to worry about complicated discount cards—just enter RC777E on Trainpal for a 20% discount. Take advantage of the savings!)
After getting off the train, you can take bus route 1 or 7 to the City Centre, and then walk to Cambridge University and the nearby attractions. Cambridge isn’t large, so walking is totally fine in my opinion.

I think it’s a better museum than the Natural History Museum - much better sized for children as you can digest the entire museum in an hour. Lovely gift shop.Written 1 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Rebecca L16 contributionsA thought provoking museum. Many interactive elements and games for the kids to amuse themselves with, means the grown ups are free to enjoy the exhibits more than usual. We did find the museum on the pricey side for a family visit - over £30 for 2 adults and 1 child, plus inevitable gift shop purchases. The location is unexpected - we wondered if we had taken a wrong turn - but makes for a spacious venue with easy parkingWritten 1 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Vandieman111Adelaide, Australia1,387 contributionsThis is a very good place to pick up an interesting and reasonably priced lunch. Selections range from paella to beef rendang and polish sausage.Written 7 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Tee BLondon, UK40 contributionsThis little museum is quaint but really interesting. It houses some really fab artifacts.
The staff and volunteers were all friendly and knowledgeable. We were able to take part in a war truck ride across the vast fields. There was a great plane simulation experience for young and old.
The cafe sells some delicious cakes.
I would fully recommend as a Sunday afternoon day out with the family.Written 15 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Alongside good description & personal stories.
I felt I learnt a lot about the region as well as British exploration.Written 25 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I researched the history of the colleges before we went so I was able to explain what we were seeing. We had always punted to Grantchester before but it was fun to do a shorter trip with more views of the colleges along the Backs for a change. It was fun to see the Bridge of Sighs and the Mathematical Bridge.Written 15 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - richardtonynicholsonManea, UK118 contributionsOur third museum of the day. Free entry and located close to other Cambridge University Museums.
A great collection with some real history. The sections celebrating Charles Darwin were fascinating.
Activity sheets for children are available, and there was a small gift shop.
As with my other reviews of some of the Cambridge Museums, allow an hour with children, longer as a group of adults. Well worth a visit.Written 31 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - richardtonynicholsonManea, UK118 contributionsWe visited with you children as part of a day trip exploring Cambridge.
The museum is free to enter and is spread across 3 levels. A great collection. For me specifically I enjoyed the ground floor with its local collection. Having lived in Cambridgeshire for 15 years it was fascinating.
There were activity sheets available from the friendly staff for children which kept them entertained and allowed us to explore.
Allow an hour with children, longer if you are with adults properly exploring each exhibit.

- stevebintleyBedford, UK8,758 contributionsWhile it might appear like any other wooden bridge it’s worth reading up about the history and science behind it - it’ll make its landmark status make much more sense! There’s not a huge number of different spots to admire it from but it’s a must see on a first visit to the city.Written 4 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sanka1 🇱🇰🇬🇧Bicester, UK5,886 contributionsThe Corpus Clock is one of the most striking public monuments in Cambridge. It is a unique and strange looking sculptural clock mounted at street level at Corpus Christi College. As it's at street level and on a busy junction, taking photos is not very easy with people walking across and there's always a gathering of people there who come to see it. Highly recommend visiting while on tour in Cambridge.Written 20 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Simon GCambridge, UK3 contributionsNot bad , poor choices of stores , need more shopping and food outlets. Most of them are expensive.
