Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- Dean S4 contributionsHighlight of a day with friends looking around Cambridge. Stunning building, close to other important sites in the historic centre of the cityWritten 7 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Pippa Pearce10 contributionsA great workout for the senses of taste and smell. Great fun balancing the different flavour notes and finding how very different my friends' tastes were from mine. I liked the stronger, punchier flavours (was told I should name my gin "Bovver Boots") whilst they went for the delicate floral notes.Written 5 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - louisaMiddlesbrough, UK46 contributionsWhat a beautiful place.
It is very peaceful and quiet.
There are side rooms with information about the chapel and the church over the years.
The architecture and stone work inside and outside of the chapel are breathtaking.
I will definitely be visiting here again.
There is a service at 5:30pm
This was very clean and well looked after.
Although it cost £55 for a family ticket (a bit pricy) it was worth it. After going in the chapel you can walk down to the river and go over the college bridge.Written 29 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The gardens are a good size and very peaceful. Lots of paths to wander around and you can return at any point during the day (we did this). Cafe was pleasant (a little over priced) and had a range of food and drink options. Entry to the gardens was good value. Would highly recommend if visiting Cambridge.Written 22 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

We chose scudmores and paid £25 each for 45 min trip. Well worth it though, it’s such a great trip on a punt boat 🚤. It’s harder than it looks so I’d go with a guide!Written 4 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Wayne KHamilton, New Zealand1,319 contributionsNice wee village where the church from the TV series Granchester is located. A lovely old village church it is.
The village carpark on the edge of the village wanted €5 for the day to park in a field. No thanks for 45 minutes for the church Andra cup of coffee.Written 25 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The day started well with our first tasting of Champagne with Mark proceeding to describe the impact of the climate, grape and fermentation process on the contents of our glasses. We were informed and guided guided through the complex flavours and textures from the many wines we sampled - starting with the whites and proceeding to reds. We learnt a lot during the day, with our ability to evaluate and savour the different wines steadily improving. The group was an ideal size - around 12 people enabling the ample opportunity to ask question in a social setting. The location was fantastic, good lunch and a great opportunity to see the college grounds. Fully exceeded expectations and we look forward to future events.Written 3 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Nick GMaldon, UK391 contributionsWe only went up the tower (120+ steps in a tight climb), but great views from the top. The ticket provided explained the sights from each side of the tower.
Slightly expensive but it goes to the upkeep.Written 8 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. St. Johns is a beautiful old building with lots of history. My colleagues and I had dinner here after a seminar. Apparently the room we were in used to be the headmasters office. It was a lovely experience, we were all seated around a long banquet table. The staff were great and the food was amazing, possibly the best steak I have ever eaten. I really enjoyed my visit and would thoroughly recommend St. Johns for dinner!Written 18 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - stevebintleyBedford, UK8,886 contributionsWhile it might appear like any other wooden bridge it’s worth reading up about the history and science behind it - it’ll make its landmark status make much more sense! There’s not a huge number of different spots to admire it from but it’s a must see on a first visit to the city.Written 4 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Passport477170734532 contributionsQueens' college is a hidden gem and is, in our opinion, much nicer than King's. The buildings are more modest in style but more attractive. The price is very reasonable and the staff, particularly the Porter's Lodge team, are very friendly and helpful.

Most of the time, admission is free to visitors unlike the big, famous colleges, unless it’s during exam season or a special event. It has peaceful and beautiful grounds, and a very beautiful library and chapel. Reportedly, its weekend brunches (and food overall) are some of the best amongst the Cambridge colleges. A friendly, inviting, and often overlooked place - don’t miss it when you visit Cambridge.Written 27 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
