We got the bus from St Helier there which are not as frequent as other places on the island, but plan it and it’s easy. There are car parks which are free. You get to the beach either walking down a lone road or take the steps and path along the coast section. There is a lovely cafe at the top of the beach and public toilets. In high season the cafe gets busy at peak times, but well worth the short wait. Steps down to the beach and then a bridge. Only really accessible at low tide. Lots of lovely caves, perfect for children to explore. Also heard on the grapevine that a crab sandwich @ Mad Marys beach cafe was essential.
The bay itself is a clean, quiet, pebble beach used for a range of diving activities. The now defunct 4 star "Waters Edge Hotel "is in a sorry state, apparently waiting for redevelopment.

It is backed by marshland with a small car park and other amenities. I can imagine parking can be an issue if you go on a hot day as limited next to beach itself.
