I spent a few hours walking the whole walls around the city. It was a little crowded in parts but so much that had a big effect on my experience. The views are great in some parts and stretches of the wall were all but deserted, leaving me to enjoy it with nobody but my dog.
Seeing the city from the different perspective offered by the walls made it a much more peaceful place to be and gave me the chance to see a few things that I otherwise wouldn't, such as a choir practicing by a pavilion on a bowls green.

    NORTHGATE STREET

We found a great street, which had lots of great shops: The White Company, Zara, Dr Martins, Pret, Pandora, Smiggle etc

There’s tapas and French cuisine at the top and there’s also access to the cathedral and the gardens. This is where they have Christmas Markets during December.

I love walking around Chester, the architecture is superb ,the famous Chester Rows ,the Roman ruins, the imposing Victorian era buildings and of course the great black and white timbered buildings ,one such building is Tudor House .
Located down Lower Bridge Street ,a Grade II listed building ,constructed around about 1603 ,although a plaque statues in was built in 1503 this is believed to be in error ,the building was certainly extended in 1728 and between 1973-1974 repair work was carried out on the timbers ,it's just a beautiful and historic building to view along arguably one of Chesters most beautiful streets namely Lower Bridge Street,it's a building I highly recommend you check out if you're in the area.

At the bottom of the high street the gate allows you to cross the river Dee and cross the old Dee bridge. The best way to take it all in is to walk along the bridge and look back.

One of the loveliest streets in the superb city, it was enjoyable strolling along. It is famous for the Chester Rows. Lovely architecture adorns both sides.

A fine variety of frontages are to be admired, home to art galleries, souvenir shops, hostelries and more.

Standing in front of St Peter's Church where the four main streets in Chester (Westgate Street, Northgate Street, Eastgate Street and Bridge Street) meet, the Chester Cross is a popular meeting place. This red sandstone pillar is topped by a crown with a decorative tip on top of which is a ball. As well as being a meeting place, we were told that, in the summer months, the town crier of Chester makes announcements from its steps at midday. As we were here in October, however, we did not see this happen. It is worth seeking out Chester Cross because, from where it is situated, a lot of the sights to see in Chester are within walking distance.
