Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A great way to get an overview of the city and the surrounds and some exceptional views of the cathedral too. Walking is mostly easy with a few inclines but nothing that should give issues. Learn how the term 'gee-gees' came about too! The whole circuit takes about an hour with various access points.

At the bottom of the high street the gate allows you to cross the river Dee and cross the old Dee bridge. The best way to take it all in is to walk along the bridge and look back.

On any trip to Chester I take I love nothing better than seeking out the remains of the Roman occupation ,just past the wonderful Roman Amphitheatre is the Remains of The Angle Tower ,a wonderful evocative set of ruins .
Dating from around the 1st century AD ,this was one of 26 such towers that once lined the famous Roman walls ,offering a great vantage point to observe the local Britons and offering protection from insurrection ,it's a great insight into the past ,it's most definitely well worth seeking out if your planning a trip to Chester and easy to locate along Pepper Street across the road from the beautiful Roman Gardens.

Walking around the north-eastern part of the Chester city walls, its impossible to miss the imposing Phoenix Tower, overlooking the canal below.
    Great views of the city.
