Walking is mostly easy with a few inclines but nothing that should give issues. Learn how the term 'gee-gees' came about too! - Neil KLiverpool, UK824,835 contributionsOn any trip to Chester I take I love nothing better than seeking out the remains of the Roman occupation ,just past the wonderful Roman Amphitheatre is the Remains of The Angle Tower ,a wonderful evocative set of ruins .
Dating from around the 1st century AD ,this was one of 26 such towers that once lined the famous Roman walls ,offering a great vantage point to observe the local Britons and offering protection from insurrection ,it's a great insight into the past ,it's most definitely well worth seeking out if your planning a trip to Chester and easy to locate along Pepper Street across the road from the beautiful Roman Gardens.Written 16 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
