Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Our hotel was along the canal anyway. It was lovely to walk along the canal as a standalone as well as to reach other desinations. You can see why it was so important to industry in the past.
You also get some beautiful views/photos. A bit like the river, sadly it also has a problem with discarded waste such as plastic bottles, cans, packets and so on.

The Shropshire Union Canal is a nice stretch of the Shropshire Union Canal that meanders through Chester, its a pretty little stretch of canal with some interesting features along including Bridge Of Sighs ,an evocative little bridge that crosses this canal, constructed by civil engineer Thomas Telford in 1835,its a very photogenic canal, most definitely well worth checking out if you're planning a trip to Chester.

Chester Weir that stretches across the River Dee is an historic Grade I listed structure, built from sandstone in 1093 for Hugh Lupus ,1st Earl Of Chester and was designed to provide a head of water for the mills that proliferate the River Dee ,best views of the weir are from Old Dee Bridge, its such a photogenic area of the River Dee and most definitely well worth checking out if you're planning a trip to Chester.
