Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The rating is purely for the views,
The public toilets are gross and the car park price is extortionate.
But it is absolutely beautiful and we return just for the afternoon most years.

We visited today. My husband has mobility issues and there is plenty of ramps and a lift within the site.
Make sure you walk round the tunnels
    Well worth a visit
    Highly recommend

Fantastic beach , Great views from Harry Ramsdon fish and chip restaurant and a great meal made this a great little break . The Fantastic Russel Cotes museum and its history was so special . Lovely architecture and walks with a surprise visit from the Bournemouth Goats 🐐 ( not a football team as we thought but real roaming cliff top Goats 🤗) ) . Fab weekend.

We last visited the head many years ago. Took the opportunity while on the way to our holiday to stop here. Parked easily in the car park by the cafe, 2hrs £5.50 via Ringo Go.
Walked the long way up to the top via Mudeford Beach. The steps are quite steep but the views are amazing!
The visitor centre is interesting and where you will find the toilets

Fabulous place. Stunning sculptures in beautiful surroundings. You can wander to your hearts content taking in the breathtaking sculptures whilst listening to cuckoos calling to each other across the river and lakes. Was lucky enough to get lunch even though I hadn't booked. Friendly staff, great food. There is also a beautiful garden full of flowers, more sculptures and the vegetables etc which they grow to use in the kitchen cafe. There is also studios/galleries and a shop. I spent a couple of hours here. Can't speak highly enough of this place as had such a lovely afternoon here.

Love this place, the house is so beautiful, staff are so knowledgeable and helpful.
The gardens are beautiful and the surrounding estates are well worth a visit but wear comfy shoes as you will want to explore it all.

We had our daughter’s 12th birthday party at The Dorset Adventure Park. They all did the Muddy Trail and had the best time ever.

We had the use of one of the enclosures over the duration which was all set up with balloons etc.

I really couldn’t have asked for more. The staff were lovely, the food was great and all the children had the best time. To top it off we were presented with the most enormous personalised chocolate cake.

It was definitely the best party we’ve had yet.

    Thank you all

Staff all very friendly, especially the gardners who were very happy to talk. Very well kept grounds. And what a glasshouse, wow. Light touch notices ( keep off the grass). Very reasonable entry fee with Gardeners World 2 for 1 ticket. Quick, friendly service in restaurant. Good clean loos. Last but definitely the best …… what a house !
    History in buckets.
Plenty of water features so be aware with tiny people.
Will go back very soon without small grandchildren to have a closer look.
Thank you Athelhampton for a lovely time ☺️

Such a great experience feeding the mullet, something I've not come across elsewhere. Great to see all the sea creatures and fish which can be found along the local coast. Jenna answered all our questions and made us feel welcome.

Lovely beach that was clean and had good facilities and parking. We parked at the knoll car park.
It's a shame that not all dog owners followed the guidelines to keep their dog on a lead - as there is a massive poster/sign instructing them to do so.

Always wanted to go and see this lighthouse
Followed the satnav and it got us right there.
Stunning views all along the coast
    The carpark is huge
Cannot ever see there not being a space for everyone.
Use either cash in the machine or the app
Short walk to the lighthouse and very suitable for those with mobility issues.
There is a quaint restaurant on site called The Lobster Pot. Very popular
Great place to take your pooch.
We paid £3 to park although there are signs stating blue badge holders do not pay.
Well worth a trip there just to see how stunning it is
    Really glad we went

Gorgeous gardens. Peaceful place, lots of walking. Huge tropical plants everywhere. Walk up to the top for amazing views over Chesil Beach. Cafe near entrance/exit with plants for sale.

Out of our comfort zone we had a super creative morning at the Family Art Workshop with Ilona discovering our hidden unaware artistic talents. She made everyone welcome. The setting is delightfully peaceful.

Just be aware that your car registration plate is photographed on entry!
