Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I took part of the Autism Anglia skydiving day and it was fantasic!
Great cafe on site whilst your waiting for your jump. The team was great with giving information during the briefing and putting everyone at ease.

Smooth plane ride up and then a great tandem jump, already thinking about booking the next one!

My husband did the lion experience today, what amazing opportunity to get up close and personal to these beautiful animals. Laura Kaya’s keeper was very informative and my husband enjoyed every single minute. We could tell Laura loves her job looking after the lions as she didn’t stop smiling and the information we received was incredible.

I would highly recommend doing the lion experience at Africa Alive, don’t hesitate! book it! 🐾🦁🐾

I can’t recommend this tour enough, it was very interesting. The views from the roof are lovely. Our guide Chris was very nice and really knowledgeable. Thank you!

I loved the enclosure size, it far exceeded any that have seen at any zoo or farm I have been to. The welfare of the animals has been thought about as the more delicate animals have their privacy. It was very inclusive and everything was adequately spaced out with lots of information around. My only feedback would be that the shop could promote its own produce better as there was alot of non local / non farm shop items.

We went on a day when it was raining but it was still extremely interesting. Really friendly staff and volunteers, good guide which brings all of the history to life. Virtually every item on show is a replica from the find but we followed up this visit with a trip to the British Museum in London to see the actual Anglo Saxon haul. I would recommend this as a good place to visit and would suggest combining with a visit to the Woodbridge Museum in the centre of town. Also check out the long boat being created alongside the museum.

We visited today 11th May 2024 for their 1960s day. What a fabulous day. Got to have a ride on a couple of trams and a trolly bus. Then got to have a ride around Lowestoft on a 1967 leyland bus. What an experience. My children aged 2 and 5 loved every minute of the day. Loads to look at and take in. You must try the cafe. Very good prices. £2 for a tray of chips. More than enough to fill you up for some more bus journeys. Worth every penny for a day out. Will be coming back again for their next special day.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Marvellous paintings and displays; well cared for gardens to wander in. Could do with a large, easy access area for motorhomes.

Been coming here for around 30 years. Lovely reserve, plenty to see.
I’ve previously been a little critical of the cafe, as we found in previous years, it doesn’t matter how ethical the tea and coffee is, the most important thing is that many people don’t care about that, it just needs to taste good. A couple of years ago the drinks were particularly woeful. Happy to report that the coffee is now very good so I don’t know if the supplier has changed or the water has. But taking account of the two we’ve had this week, things are back on track.
Friendly helpful and more importantly, knowledgeable staff in the shop, one man spent a great deal of time with us in our quest for a new pair of binoculars, we ended up buying two pairs.
    Thank you.

Visited in March with my girlfriend.
Some people seem to have commented on parking, but parking was easy, maybe the time of year.
Whilst not the biggest site, it was nice to be able to walk around the castle walls and looking at the views.
We had trouble finding the stairs, and asked a member of staff. Who didn't just point us, actually made the effort and walked us to the entrance making sure we got up ok.
Lovely small museum of the towns history. Nice updated audio guides, so you don't have to go around scanning gadgets.
Café needs some updated options, but otherwise fine.

Theatre is fine with comfortable seats.
    However toilets are a disgrace.
Mens toilets in circle were overflowing and not flushing away.

To know of constable and his great art work ' The Hay Wain' it was such a treat to see the masterpiece in real life. The female volunteer took a photo of us two with a canvas art piece of the Hay Wain - thank you!

Restaurant service was super and an array of vegan food was spot on

    Free parking if NT members.

    A most enjoyable day
