Had a fabulous afternoon at the wine and cheese tasting tour. The tour guide knew his stuff making the tour informative and fun. The wine did not disappoint which reflected the care taken at every step of the wine making process. The perfectly paired cheese was delicious too. Great scenery, lovely people and delicious wine, what more would you want?

We were on holiday at the Queens Hotel in Eastbourne, one of the excursions was to Carr Taylor Vineyards, we had such a great time, and we were shown round and got to taste some wine.

Fantastic location overlooking the downs . The outdoor restaurant was next to the vines and served a great selection of small plates which were all delicious . The tour was interesting and led by an enthusiastic host whose knowledge was great . Oh and the wines - delicious !!

Wonderful biodynamic and 100% organic vineyard in East Sussex with various sister vineyards and brands dotted around the south of England. This found the Silver Reign sparking wine the standout from the large selection. It is an absolute joy to drink. The tastings are conducted in person by knowledgeable staff. We didn’t get offered an opportunity to walk around or view the vines which was a shame. Personally I find the Sedlescombe branding doesn’t help establish its credibility as it looks quite like branding for non-alcoholic spirits / botanicals or cordials. It has a differentiated story and sticks to its organic and biodynamic roots, so all credit to it for that. Definitely worth dropping in if you are passing or in the area.

What an experience we had at Charles Palmer Vineyard yesterday!

My wife and I booked on for the wine and cheese pairing, and it exceeded our expectations.

Chantelle is so knowledgeable and an expert in the wine department! We sampled 4 wines with exceptional local cheeses. All we're sensational!

We brought our 2 cavaliers with us, so after the tasting we went for a walk around the vineyard, devoured a bottle of Pinot Noir 2019 and feasted on a Charcuterie board!

I might add that while we're white wine drinkers, and never found a red wine (ever) we've liked, I write this review from our sun terrace enjoying a bottle of red we brought home with us.

This is a great local venue (as well as a vineyard, if you are interested in wine!) and the owners, David & Chris, are very attentive to their customers' needs.

We had a wonderful three night stay in the Dobson Shepherd's Hut. A glorious setting, compact but incredibly comfortable . Great outside space under an oak tree, plenty of seating & even a hammock, with only the sound of birdsong to distract.
A gorgeous bottle of the Vineyard's Rose was chilling in the fridge. Great location near Rye with lots of cafes & restaurants.
We will definitely be back, and such good value.

We visited lovely Court Garden on a trip with Great British Wine Tours. It’s a fabulous little vineyard; a really personal feel to the place, and the owners and staff obviously love what they do so much. Hugo is a charismatic host, entertaining and passionate about what he does, he had everyone in stitches as he taught us all about how they make their wines. Speaking of which the wine is absolutely delicious too!
So much nicer visiting here than some of the larger, more corporate vineyards.

My daughters booked this visit as a birthday treat for me- a lovely surprise!
The vineyard is in a beautiful setting , with stunning views of the local countryside.
The tour was so interesting and informative; learned a lot about wine production!
We enjoyed the tasting and chose the very palatable rose to accompany our cheese platter.
I was particularly impressed by the fact that everything is locally sourced where possible.
The staff are very welcoming and knowledgeable.
We were blessed with sunny weather too which made the experience even more enjoyable.

Had dinner at the wineries flint barn, 3 course set menu.
Service was attentive and relaxed and made us feel welcomed.
The food was delicious, as was the wine.

Price could be considered on the costly side, however with local produce and dinning amongst the vines, I’d say value for money is spot on.

Would highly recommend, and look forward to visiting again!

I came with a group of friends from overseas that wanted to have a day out. After a visit to Bodiam Castle we walk to the Oastbrook winery for a tour and tasting

If you want a day out, this is a great experience!

Passionate and knowledgeable America and Nick were great hosts and made us feel like we belonged at the place

We had the producers doing the tour and the wine tasting, sharing their passion for the vineyard and wines

The wines were excellent we bought a mixed case to take with us

We had our wine tasting at their tasting room on top of the winery that was so beautiful, where we could see the production barrels and thanks from the glass widow.

The tour and tasting were so fascinating, fan and relax that we learn so much and made lots of friend

After the tour, we sat on the balcony overviewing the vineyard and ordered some wines to drink there while we were waiting for our taxi

Thanks, Oastbrook. We will be back
