Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Busy, but fun! Plenty to do. Shops, places to eat, drink and rides for the kids.
ÂŁ1 charge per person to go on the pier and things are not cheap on there so worth noting. But fun for all

The West Pier is a ruined pier, which opened in 1866. The pier closed in 1975 and fell into disrepair and gradually collapsed. Major sections fell into the sea during storms in late 2002, and two separate fires in 2003.

Tuesday 7th September walking along the Piazza by the British Airways i360 and we saw a number of metal pillars rising from the ground.

The Piazza is an area along the beachfront where the entrance of the West Pier once stood. It is dedicated to the heritage of the Pier.

The twenty-four cast-iron columns were originally part of the substructure of the West Pier they had previously been sited on the beach. They were survivors of the two fires which destroyed the Pier, the remains of which are sadly rotting away.

The layout of the pillars was inspired by the Fibonacci Spiral, named after the Italian mathematician, also known as the Golden Spiral. They are illuminated at night.
