Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Sushy210157Crawley, UK54 contributionsOmg - the best fun ever. - we did the Mad Hatters Tea Party. There was just me and my daughter and we competed with just 8 seconds to spare!
So well thought out and just the right level of difficulty for us, we both thoroughly enjoyed the experience and Simon was a great host!Written 3 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JemonthemoveSussex39 contributionsVisited Preston Manor on their Open Day. Was as interesting as I remembered from my visits many years ago. - Antonia S1 contributionWe attended the Lock&Rock room not really knowing what to expect- it was absolutely incredible! So well put together and really gets that brain working overtime. We were greeted warmly by a wonderful host would was friendly and very funny! My group have made some fantastic memories just within the hour of being in there. Thank you so much for making my birthday one I'll never forget. - Andrea T1 contributionWe bought a drink at the bar before we headed upstairs to the escape rooms. We were greeted by Nick who explained everything. He introduced us to the story and what we were expected to solve in order to escape. The room was very atmospheric and well set out. We were drawn in straight away and together managed to find and solve the clues (with a little occasional prompting from Nick who was on a walkie talkie). I would highly recommend this escape room but don’t go with a big group. We were 8 and it got a bit hectic. A maximum of four people is probably better.Written 10 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

My partner and I probably didn’t beat any point records, but enjoyed it a lot for sure. - M9027DYLondon16 contributionsWe have played plenty of escape rooms before, including Handmade Mysteries other rooms and decided to do this when visiting Brighton for a weekend, there were four of us.
Firstly, the game is a great way to explore Brighton and find lots of fun pubs and restaurants to visit later, and secondly the game is really excellent and great value for money.
The puzzles were fun and challenging, the different types of interactions are great and there is a variety of different tasks which made it even better.
The Walrus is also a great pub for some after game drinks!Written 7 April 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Stuart5 contributionsWe had a great day out as a
Family today. Unfortunately some of the venues were closed which meant we couldn’t complete all the clues which was disappointing. The response of Solve the City however was amazing, what great customer service. I couldn’t recommend them more highly. They should be an example to other businesses.Written 28 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mr CDerby, England, United Kingdom59 contributionsDo not hesitate to book this Hunted adventure. From the meet up in the car park to the final points talky you are on the edge of your seat. Throw in the stunning surroundings of monsal head and the experience is like nothing else. Superbly constructed challenges, heart pounding chases and all with your mates. We had such an amazing time I will be spreading to word to as many people as I can. A brilliant social enterprise too which is the cherry on the cake.
