We actually stayed on the front and walked down and back with a four year old so it’s no real distance. The walk to the front is preferable.. a) because you’re excited about beginning your break, b) you can see the sea pretty quickly and c) it’s downhill pretty much all the way to the front.
You hit the shopping area after a couple of hundred metres and can reach The Lanes very quickly by turning left around the same time.

Clean car and safe drive to our hotel.
Return journey, driver was slightly late but zoomed into the hotel car park and apologised as he had been stuck in traffic. Given the disruption due to the weather a slight delay was understandable.

We decided to get the bus instead paying over the odds for a taxi or Uber.
The driver was very happy and their driving standards were impeccable,no harsh braking and great road discipline.
ÂŁ2 fare into town,great price and an amazing service.

I have found them generally very reliable, and the standard of driving is very good. On the rare occasions when there has been a problem, such as a breakdown or a diversion due to an accident, the drivers have dealt with it calmly, efficiently and as quickly as possible.
What is sometimes annoying is the behaviour of some other passengers, playing loud music, coughing without covering their mouths [Yes, in the time of the great COVID] and other such bad behaviour. The worst I have seen was two drunks, one in a wheelchair, who continued to drink and were quite a risk to other passengers. This is the reason why most drivers say very little to passengers, they are fed up with the minority who behave badly and give the rest of us a bad name. From the point of enquiry and booking when everything is clearly confirmed and a reminder is sent prior to the pick up to the lovely reliable drivers who arrive punctually and show remarkable patience and thoughtfulness, including waiting for us the first time we used them when our baggage was lost at Heathrow to yesterday ensuring our grandchild was carefully placed in the baby seat and our son and his wife returning to the US via Heathrow had a relaxed journey - they said this of Brighton Airport Taxis - ''Really easy and efficient The driver was fantastic''. We could't agree more and recommend them very highly indeed!

Time, place, On the mornings pick up which was 3.30am a text saying see you soon. So I always felt safe that they was going to turn up. Lovely car and driver turned up. Very friendly helpful and chatty. The same when we came back are flight got cancelled to 3 days later. Are driver stephan was tracking are flights and changed to are new arrival. Fantastic service and custom experience. - Rob Menhinick1 contributionWe booked two people carriers to take a wedding party of 13 from Brighton Grand to Brighton Town Hall for our wedding. We were quoted ÂŁ40 for the return trips. This was booked weeks in advance of our wedding 8th Nov 2022. My partner made a follow up reminder call a couple of days prior and confirmed pick up and collection times. We were assured there would be no problem.
However, instead of two people carriers, only one turned up. And it turned up late. Someone in Seagull Taxis had unilaterally decided, without notifying us, that they would take half the guests on one journey and then use the same taxi to pick up the remainder of the guests. We were asked to pay ÂŁ60 in four separate amounts of ÂŁ15 and not the pre-agreed ÂŁ40. This spoiled our wedding day, caused massive stress and embarrassment as we did not know whether the second group of guests would arrive in time for the ceremony. A similar thing happened with the return journey where two taxis were booked and only one showed up. I chose the walking tour in Brighton, I think it was very fun because we could chose what do to in Brighton and it is a very nice city. The picture was by the upside down house and I think it is a very nice picture of the group. I would give Brighton 4 stars.

Very punctual, extremely friendly and incredibly polite driver. - Angela T1 contributionWe hired a car and driver from Brightonairportroaders in Brighton on Monday, 24 July to go from Hove to London Heathrow. It started okay with a confirmation, clean car, well driven. However, when we got to the airport and unloaded our bags, the car took off with my handbag which was on the floor in the front seat. It took several calls and a very unhelpful agent to get the car to return. He said it was raining and the car was back in Brighton and the traffic was too bad to get back in time!! I called the company before we even got in the Terminal. It wasn't raining and the traffic was fine. They are working a scam and I don't suggest anyone use them.
