One of our party was an experienced sea fisherman and said the boat was the cleanest, most well equipped fishing boat he had ever been on. several members of the party had never fished in any capacity and Jay the skipper made sure that everyone had help when required. - Guide7987032 contributionsWe were unable to make the trip on the first date due to weather, which you totally respect for safety reasons and Paul kept us totally informed and gave a multiple choice of dates to rebook and super helpful.
Our Rampion Wind Farm tour was absolutely amazing. I knew I'd enjoy it but it was so much more than I'd hoped for me and my 15 year old nephew. The weather was stunning, the wind turbines were incredible and awesome close up. It was also a brilliant bonus we were able to complete the tour going via the West Pier, then past the Palace Pier and back to Marina. The cherry on the cake was Paul, our skipper and tour guide, he was both super informative and with humour.

- Matt PLondon, England85 contributionsOnly a purely 'how was your trip' basis, this was absolutely fine. Get on boat, pootle around wind farm, come back to the marina. We all enjoyed it - probably helped by gorgeous weather and calm seas.
A couple of points though.
It has been mentioned about the lack of commentary. Actually it's a lack of any interaction with the staff at all. The skipper came on board, showed us how to put on the life jacket and then got in the cockpit and wasnt seen again until we docked. It might have been nice to have someone on hand to answer some questions.
In addition, i would have thought that most people go on this trip out of some sort of curiosity and maybe like us think that wind farms are pretty cool and can help out with the climate crisis. On that basis it's a bit odd that the skipper gave out a laminated article which slags off wind farms and says they are a waste of money. I mean, know your audience!

From the time I spoke with him to book the trip, to our arrival, trip and end, Ray was extremely curt and rude. I have been out fishing with other skippers before and we have had a great tume. However this skipper was really nasty. He didnt help us with the bait or lines. Wrongly accused one of the guys of breaking the rod where as there was nothing broken. When we asked for help or advice he either ignored us or was really curt with the responses. Such a shame as we all travelled from London and spent good money and time to have a good time. Luckily we managed that as we wanted to have a good time, but no thanks to the most horrible skipper I have ever come across.
