Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Oh my word, astonishing, a labyrinth of incredible shops, cafes, everything you could imagine and more, our heads were spinning. We had a map and know we missed some of them. So glad we went, please go, you won't believe how wonderful they are.

A kind of bazaar. An area full of life, full of color. There are a lot of small shops that sell all kinds of products, generally artisanal or small series. Antiques, vintage products and much more. Buildings full of graffiti, cafes, small bars and indescribable crowds. An area with a good vibe.

I’ve been coming here for over 40 years so I’m biased but it really is a beautiful spot. The views are spectacular but also a fantastic place to have a walk and blow the cobwebs away

Beneath the cliffs along the Sussex seafront there are paths to take you alongside the beach.

Within Brighton there are different paths some on the same level as the beach and some are a bit higher.

The ones next to the seafront are well maintained however when I visited in January 2024 one of the paths higher up the cliff was closed.

You get some lovely views of the beach and the surrounding area including the piers and the marina.

I don't understand the negative reviews from some people on here. It's a lovely place. Admittedly it's a little tricky to find but as my mum used to say 'you've got a tongue in your head - just ask someone'. The museum is packed with toys from over the last century. Many of the 1960/70s toys - some of which we'd forgotten about - brought back such a lot of lovely childhood memories and a lot of discussion. I'm sure there are hundreds of other toys which could be included but it's a limited space and we found plenty to look at. We spent between 45 minutes and an hour looking round. If you have an hour to spare, do pay a visit.

Our guide was excellent. He had researched a lot of the history Brighton Police and was good at answering qyuestions. Next time that you want something to do for about an hour and a half in Brighton, for a very reasonable cost, please book a tour.

A lovely monument to some very brave human beings. A nice walk from Patcham (20 mins) or an hour from Clayton Windmills, well worth it.

I can highly recommend Loot the Lanes. The escape room had so much to it, the staging was amazing and very realistic. The best escape room I’ve done, by far! Thank you.

We spent a great few hours with Jess sampling some of the DELICIOUS food that independent Brighton has to offer.

Time in the venues was just right, and we were well notified of toilet availability. There was a great range to pick from and our food requirements (pescatarian and non drinker) were easily and readily catered for.

Highlights for us were Smorls (the thunder hummus is a must buy!), the burger kitchen and the curry leaf! Rainbow organic chocolate is also absolutely amazing.

We met up with a local friend on the tour who had never been to any of the places, so this is one for locals looking to discover more about their glorious home town, as well as tourists looking to see a slightly different side of Brighton. Heartily recommend!
