I was very surprised to find such a modern well laid out and curated museum in a relatively small town . The story of the surrounding areas the history of the people was really well told and some spectacular artefacts
Loved the way rooms were laid out and some fantastic mosaics

Bigger and more fascinating than some cathedrals I would imagine. Amazingly ornate architecture inside and out. The buttresses are wonderful to look at before you even venture inside. You have to look everywhere including up. The history of the structure is awe inspiring. How did they build it, who carved the many intricacies? Lots of poignent inscriptions to read. It is an active church. There was a reading whilst we visited which echoed around the walls and did make you stop and ponder. Historic buildings of this age are so fascinating. How they were designed and how that vision was then made in to an actual building is amazing. Go and visit and have a quiet period of contemplation.

There is a small entry fee to the sculpture park which is worth every penny. There is a small cafe for you to eat in before or after your walk. The walk through the woodlands is like an outdoor art gallery. The sculptures come in all shapes and sizes and you are given a booklet before you head round advising what they are and the cost etc should you wish to purchase one. If you are not looking to purchase anything, as we were not this is still a really lovely little couple of hours out having a wander,

What a fabulous garden - we are so glad we found you! Of course, at this time of year, the snowdrops were stunning and it was very exciting to find so many named varieties for sale (more than Painswick!) We also appreciated the naming of the varieties in the ground - I wish more gardens would do this. Everyone was so friendly and eager to answer questions; the four gardeners we met and both owners were only too willing to pass on tips and interesting information. The tea room in the bothy is outstanding: the building has been beautifully renovated and the cakes are home-made and exceedingly generous. The whole experience was a delight! Thank you so much for all your hard work and generosity.

Really nicely preserved plane and an absolutely AMAZING guide from Will who filled us in on key information on the aircraft and its functions. The accessibility of the aircraft is amazing and is truly fascinating!!!

Was gifted this for a birthday with 2 other friends. Arrived slightly early but we were still welcomed. Had a quick brief about what the experience entailed and what to expect. The instructor (Andy) took us out and then we swapped seats. We all had turns on each part of the course for the first hour or so then went back for a coffee. Then got back on the car to have a go at more difficult parts of the course. The instructor was amazing, really personable and gave instructions clearly but also let you do the driving. A really great day out especially with friends. Would highly recommend

Wide house, 20 minutes to walk round, very dark and didn’t scream arts and crafts to me. Have to wear covers on shoes and no photos. Only other place I have had to do that was a palace in Copenhagen. No photography either. Still used as a family home, it wasn’t very homely I’m afraid.
Garden which to be fair is what we went for, was very nice. Big and full walled kitchen garden. Lots of topiary, long borders, pots and views. Only thing not happy about in the garden, was the noise created by the ride on mower which was on the go the entire time of our visit of over an hour. This place is only open 2 afternoons a week, surely, they could have the grass cut another day.

Situated in the centre of Cirencester next to the church. The main entrance is next to the church graveyard. Although nothing remains of the abbey or it’s later Abbey House, the park is extensive with a large lake with resident ducks. The remains of the Roman wall are in a far corner as well as the original Norman Gate House.
Take a walk around the park admiring the mature trees with plenty of benches to ‘rest-while’. There is a children’s play area. An ideal spot for a picnic. Modern free fully accessible toilets are also available.

Variety of shops selling lots of local produce. You can get gin decanted into a bottle from a huge glass bauble- there are numerous flavours. Also in bottles of various sizes, all local. You can also get local beers, whiskey, wines and cheeses all produced in the Cotswolds. Several other bespoke outlets to visit too. A nice place to peruse.

Such a nice change from pub fare. Vegetarian restaurant with great choices. All kinds of salads and flavors. I had the Spinach Tart and a salad sampling of 6 types! All delicious!

The store offers fresh meat and poultry, plus gifts and chocolate. Many classes and experiences for summer.
