What travellers are saying
- Cassandra PStroud, UK13 contributionsOwl experience was absolutely awesome - up close with some beautiful birds. The handlers are so knowledgeable and have a great rapport with the birds and visitors. Definitely worth a trip for a visit or an experience. - Julie MExmouth, UK10 contributionsGreat experience with knowledgeable and friendly couple. They made use feel welcome and encouraged us, adjusting our technique. They also showed us different types of bow to use, which was very interesting.Written 10 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Dave J3 contributionsWe visited the arboretum on a damp Saturday in December, the staff in the shop/entrance were very good, we paid £19.85 and entered the arboretum. We read the fascinating history of the six sisters whose family had owned the arboretum. There are 68 acres to explore and as it rained the streams and brooks were flowing. There are evergreen trees and some giant redwood trees which made the walk enjoyable. Afterwards we dined in the restaurant and I have to say the food was really excellent . We will definitely revisit in the summer to enjoy the blooming foliage.Written 1 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - D7112ARmarywGettysburg, PA5 contributionsThis a wonderful old Jacobean Manor House, set out of town, about 4 miles from Moreton-in-Marsh. It had been in the same family for hundreds of years, and had received very few updates from the time time in was built in the 17th century. We were able to wander through the house on our own. There were guides in each room to answer questions. It was like stepping back in time, one of the best things we did on our trip to England!Written 7 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sandra M13 contributionsThe garden is only open April to October. So make sure you see this lovely garden during those months. The house is never open so don't plan to go inside.Written 2 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Came to visit this beautiful home & gardens last month and I have to say the house tour was one of the best experiences I’ve had in a long time! Our house guide said it was her first season she was absolutely brilliant! She made us all laugh whilst delivering so much information with such passion and kept the attention of a large group with such grace and kindness to the people who needed attention. Loved this stunning home .. the gardens were so beautiful too. The orangery serving tea and cake was such a peaceful place to sit and take it all in.
Loved it!

Small, but packed with objects and memorabilia. A trip down memory lane, as my Dad was stationed at Little Rissington. Seeing the flying ration tins, reminded me of raiding my Dad’s for sweets! So much history in a small spaceWritten 4 October 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Stephen NLondon, UK155 contributionsWe were fortunate to be invited by friends to join them for an evening here. It was our first visit to Longborough Opera and I hope it will not be the last. The performance was very good and the location, with the view over the surrounding countryside hard to better. The story of how the Opera was established is worth reading (look at the website). There was a wonderful family atmosphere and the positive links with the village were clear. Dinner was very good; something not always the case at such venues. Much to be recommended.Written 5 July 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- John WLake Jackson, TX674 contributionsOddington is near Moreton. I take it this is the same church. We found this church by accident at the end of a minor road before it shrank into a footpath. The grounds are am ancient cemetery. Very old and spooky. The location is remote and quiet.Written 20 September 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- BeckmassaLondon, UK5 contributionsAt least Longborough’s Die Tote Stadt by Erich Korngold as directed by Carmen Jakobi conveyed a real sense of place. Korngold, best known for his film music, deserves attention for both this opera which he started writing aged 18 (he was son of a leading Vienna music critic) and Das Wunder der Heliane written 1927. Here was a. rewarding score for Justin Brown to conduct - which is seldom heard -as well as offering strong main roles for Peter Auty as Paul and Noa Danon as the dancer Marietta who reminds him of his dead wife Marie. Auty is a fine artist. And Longborough did well with this almost unknown work.Written 1 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
