Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Pilgrims since the Middle Ages have been coming here and it is worth the journey. No miracles but beautiful soaring spaces. Attended a Sunday service and wandered afterwards—no admission asked if you are there for worship. Parking close by for up to 6 hours so you can explore more of the area. The gate is impressive.

I visited here with one of my daughters, the welcome by staff at the ticket / visiting centre was exceptional, as they were very informative and friendly. Having visited quite a few different European museums and attractions in the past couple of years I can say that by far the service and welcome by staff here is the very best. We sat at the picnic benches having our lunch with the view of the harbour and surrounding areas which was amazing. The walk around the grounds, the castle and the museum was great.

Hever Castle is always on our agenda when we travel to England. We never tire of touring through the fascinating history of the castle itself, or of wandering the beautiful gardens and going through the church. This visit we stayed on the grounds in Medley Court, a self-catering cottage that was lovely and comfortable, with downy beds, a welcoming living area and an amazing kitchen. The B&B staff (Lizzies 1 and 2, Anastasia and Jerome, to name just a few) were friendly and eager to make sure our reservation experience (done months in advance) and our actual stay were perfect. Wandering the grounds after the day guests had gone added a touch of magic to the experience. We called on Relyon Taxis, were fortunate to have Stephen as our driver for several trips, including the long one to Heathrow, and we had two excellent dinners at The Wheat Sheaf; owner Damien was a great host. Highly recommend!

We have been meaning to visit for years - often passing the Leeds Castle signs on our way to other parts of Kent and beyond.
Leeds Castle is more a Country Manor that resembles a castle on the outside and reflects the whimsy or a very rich person on the inside. The grounds are gorgeous, beautifully maintained and a pleasure to walk around.
We played Adventure Golf, got lost in the Maze, visited the Grotto, used the Swan Ferry and travelled on Elsie the Train. There is a 'beach' for children and themed play areas for youngsters. The Falconry display was breath taking. The restaurant served lovely food, with polite, helpful staff who added to our overall enjoyment.
We spent two days at Leeds Castle - thankfully our tickets give us access for a whole year from date of purchase, as we didn't manage to fully explore the gardens and wider grounds. Already looking forward to our next visit.

National trust place, with staff so amazing and friendly, especially Clive who took us on a guided tour in the deep shelters and had an answer to any single question. Especially grateful for the Shakespeare poem recital to emphasise the sound mirrors magnifying effect

This was probably the historic site with the best use of interactive exhibits that I’ve been to. The tour round the mast house; watching rope being made; a tour through a Cold War submarine. All brilliant and the other exhibitions were interesting and informative. 10 out of 10

Located just outside Westerham this is a truly historic location. Free for National Trust members. Non-members do not need to pre-book but it is worth doing. The cost for House, garden and Studio is £20 per adult, check website.
Parking costs £4.40, which is a lot. Parking Stewards are on hand to guide you.
You can purchase your tickets on-line , which includes a timed slot to enter the house. When we arrived the queue was long, and when you get to the counter you realise why. The reception staff cross reference your booking from your phone on a sheet of paper and then give you paper tickets! Why they don’t invest in a scanner, it would speed things up? Not particularly sustainable either.
The main cafe is located opposite the entrance and is very good with plenty of seating inside and out.
Once inside the main area the gardens and grounds are lovely. Loads of space for kids and dogs to run around. It is all beautifully presented. The house is fascinating and a friendly guide us in each room to answer any questions you may have. There is a second smaller cafe in the grounds but it was not very good apart from the outdoor seating which afforded excellent views. Overall it’s a very good experience. On busy days they do need to improve on processing the visitors.

My wife brought me the tiger feeding experience for my birthday on 20th May and from start to finish it was amazing! Keeper Jasmine took me to see the stunning lion Clarence where I got a chance to see him and take pics up close as she fed him and then we took a walk round to see the other cats in the park. Jasmine was so knowledgeable about the cats, giving me random facts which blew my mind and answered all my questions. Feeding the tigers was the last stop and even though only Blade came for food, it was an incredible experience, again having Jasmine chatting to me about their quirks and differences as well as tiger facts made it as amazing as it was. Jasmine's attention was solely on me and my experience, which made me feel like I was the only person in the zoo at times. I could have chatted to her all day about the animals!
I hope this feedback is seen by the staff and if so, please pass on my gratitude to Jasmine!
