We were in good hands with our incredibly knowledgeable guide, Gillian, and fearless driver, Sandra. The fun stories and scenic highlights made the hours fly by. We made it to Grasmere just in time to pick up some famous gingerbread. Tim was our guide and we were pleased the tour went forward with only my wife and I participating. Many tour companies would have canceled. Tim was absolutely great, the commentary was excellent, and it was so much better to let him do the driving. A thoroughly enjoyable, informative tour centred on the Brontë sisters history and writing including family background.
The journey through the Yorkshire dales was breathtaking the weather providing atmosphere !
I really enjoyed the days tour, loved all the diverse discussions with Gillian, Sandra and fellow passengers. Culminating with the Parsonage visit in the beautiful Haworth.

Martin, a native of the region, is humorous and extremely informative, and we loved being able to start and stop(and occasionally rewind if we missed a turn) whenever we wanted or needed to. We experienced sites we never would have without this audio guide. The tour took us to more sites than we expected and taught us so much about Beatrix as well as the history of the area. He answered all our questions in detail with great enthusiasm. He spoke just enough at each stop to set the stage for what we were seeing and to be excited about it. He was responsive to questions and had a great sense of humor. I liked all the stops we took. - Kate W2 contributionsWhat a wonderful tour I had, made especially good by James (2) my knowledgeable and friendly driver/guide. We went to all sorts of out of the way magnificent viewing spots and James managed to almost always avoid crowds at each stop. The B and B for two nights was very comfortable with yummy breakfasts and convivial hosts. - David N1 contributionExcellent way to start the day. Though we’ve been to the Lakes many times we have not ventured into the Langdales. The speaker system in the coach ensured that the excellent commentary was clear for all. The atmosphere was very informal and friendly. Excellent driving by the driver along the many narrow lanes. Thoroughly enjoyed the trip. Will be booking another next time we’re in the Lakes. - Liv5 contributionsMy 3 day Lake District Explorer tour with Rabbies was wonderful! I was the only person booked on so was lucky enough to be personally escorted by Keith and Grahame. The sites were absolutely stunning and Keith is a brilliant driver with a wealth of knowledge and experience. I felt thoroughly looked after from start to finish and couldn’t recommend Rabbies enough! If you’re keen to explore a new place as a solo traveller then don’t hesitate to book - you’ll be in great hands. Thank you Keith and Grahame for making my trip so memorable and enjoyable!
