Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- hazel20 contributionsWent up at first light as this can get busy. Quite easy no scrambles but steep. Follow the old golf road round instead of app way through the woods as to over grown now. Views are fantastic as expected 🤩 great morning outWritten 11 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sally WMoray, UK32 contributionsGreat fun to walk amongst the trees, spotting pieces of art strung from branches or weaving their way up trunks. Intriguing to see the methods used to construct the artworks. And a good occupation to burnoffsome of that delicious cake just eaten at the coffee shop!Written 29 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Melanie M268 contributionsClimbed this in the summer with my son and our dogs, brilliantly hot day . Parked dungeon Ghyll. Steep climb but lovely when the rock appears. Tricky little traverse near the top , wouldn’t like to do in mist . Then it opens out at the top and the 3 langdales can be seen . They look completely different when looking down on them , the acorn one is very striking and beckoned us to climb as well but we stuck to one. It was like Piccadilly Circus at the top , walkers everywhere! We descended via Pavey arc and had a swim in the tarn , was pure bliss especially for the dogsWritten 22 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
