Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very reliable and serious company. If you are in Lake District only for a few days I would recommend doing a tour with them. You get to visit super nice places and spots that otherwise you wouldn't plus in a rainy day you will feel you did not lose your day. Michael made our day! He is super nice, entertaining all the time that you aren't bored at all, he has an amazing knowledge about Lake District and drives safely! In the end sun came out and we finished our trip even happier. I recommend 100%. Thank you, Michael :)

Highly recommend to anyone who is travelling solo and/or can't rent a car to go to all the places on the itinerary - that's a very good starting point with your adventure in Lake District area. The driver Mark is greater at his job, and will give you a decent bunch of facts and trivia about the region and people related to it.

Gillian and Sandra are absolutely fantastic. Their tour and tailored itinerary showed us all the unique bits of the Lake District that we would not be able to see otherwise. Thanks to them, we have had a truly wonderful trip. Highly recommended!!!

The guide,Gillian, was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the history and uniqueness of this national treasure. Our driver, Saundra, got us safely around traffic and tight turns. Highly recommend, especially if you are new to the area. Prepare to be amazed!

I was in two minds about booking a tour, given that getting around the Lake District is so easy by using public transport. However, as I had limited time, I decided to see what else was on offer, and I'm so glad I did. Although my tour backtracked a bit, to where I had already been, I once again got to experience the Kirkstone Pass, which had only re-opened the day before, when I came across from Glenridding. I wondered about some of the beautiful, but isolated farm buildings down in the valley, and was delighted to have my curiosity more than satisfied - thanks Geoff. I probably wouldn't have taken the extra time to visit Grasmere and that, together with the Castlerigg Stone Circle were the highlights of my Windermere stay - not forgetting Sarah Nelson's gingerbread shop!

Frank was a great tour host. Unique way of presenting with music and humor. Provided some historical background which was very interesting and showed he clearly had a knowledgeable interest in the history. Pleasant, courteous, friendly, accommodating - gave tips about various local areas of interest. And the piece de resistance…the views! This made our entire trip. So very worth it.

I took my parents who were visiting me from Spain on the tour to the Lake District and it was simply AMAZING.
Our tour guide Frank was so lovely, passionate, thoughtful, attentive and taught us many interesting facts and history points throughout the journey. This tour is everything that you could want from a tour. It’s interactive, comfortable, interesting, beautiful and you cover so many different gorgeous spots and places!
We took so many pictures and we are looking forward to going onto the next tour with Busy Bus either to Wales or Yorkshire.
    I definitely recommend them! :)

This was an outstanding tour. Ivo gave a very thorough and knowledgeable introduction to the Lake District. He could not be a nicer young man nor a better advocate for the Lake District. Ivo was great at answering questions and tailoring our tour to match our interests. Highly recommend.

One of the best parts of our tour was not necessarily the tour itself (which really was fantastic!) was that these two old friends really played off each other so well while Gill was giving us historical, interesting bits of information. They've known each other for many, many years and the sweet friendship is so evident between them.

The tour was so lovely - lots of great info, explained in a thoughtful, unassuming way. I had studied Wordsworth in the Lake District 27 years ago through a study abroad, so our guide was excited for me to rediscover and remember little "spots of time"- which I did!

Being somewhat introverted, my partner and I so appreciated being able to go at a somewhat slow pace and ask questions as we had them, instead of getting too much info all at once.

    Highly recommend!

What a wonderful tour I had, made especially good by James (2) my knowledgeable and friendly driver/guide. We went to all sorts of out of the way magnificent viewing spots and James managed to almost always avoid crowds at each stop. The B and B for two nights was very comfortable with yummy breakfasts and convivial hosts. I really enjoyed my tour!

I went to Lake District after spending time in Edinburgh and the highland. So I thought I have seen it all but I still find Lake District is stunningly beautiful, with lakes and pretty building dated as far back as 1200s. The town where the Windermere train station is located is simple but you can walk further down to see the pretty Windermere lake or choose to live in other town of Lake District. I had only 2 days 1 night there so I engaged a private tour. My guide, David is very knowledgeable as he shared history of the various lakes, towns and off the beaten track area that we visited. Allow him to lead and he will bring you to the best places. I really enjoy my tour of Lake District and plan to return again with a longer stay.

I recommend a visit George Fisher shoe shop (I got a pair of very good shoe there) and the Grasmere famous gingerbread shop (I am not a fan of gingerbread cookies but theirs is so special). And do consider to visit the stone ridge which predated as far back as the Stonehenge.

I will recommend at least 2 nights stay.

Our tour with Jean was extremely memorable. She was extremely enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the national park, with a great sense of humour. She even tried her best to tweet around the itinerary so that the rainy weather wouldn’t disappoint us too much! I would say she is a really professional guide and I highly recommend this trip to anyone who is interested for a quick glance of the magnificent landscape of northern england.

Excellent way to start the day. Though we’ve been to the Lakes many times we have not ventured into the Langdales. The speaker system in the coach ensured that the excellent commentary was clear for all. The atmosphere was very informal and friendly. Excellent driving by the driver along the many narrow lanes. Thoroughly enjoyed the trip. Will be booking another next time we’re in the Lakes. Many thanks 😁
