I also loved the walk in Levens Park which has great views of the river, and has lively Bagot goats, sheep and deer.
The garden is excellent with its formal gardens and topiary but I'm glad we made the decision to view the house too.

... maze was a little bit muddy but there was a good selection of wellys for rent, and the big maze was challenging but great fun The site also has a great little cafe and plenty of hot and cold drinks and snacks.
There is of course the huge maze which is a great laugh...don't lose the kids though we ended our visit with a tractor ride around the farm which provided beautiful views and interesting facts about the farm.

Good parking, great cafe and gift shop, amazing helpful staff, fabulous Castle experience through the ages - wonderful gardens and plenty of good walks from site.
... the castle and gardens are great and the staff are very knowledgeable and if you listen to the guides they tell you a great deal about the castle, the gardens and views are stunning and I would recommend a visit.

This is always a great walk to do with the family or friend's that isn't too physically demanding and you can see some lovely views of the fells.

Amazing views, worth the walk up there,we could see all around the lake district, and wonderful views of lake windermere with its vast array of boats including pleasure cruises , wonderful.
Stunning hike to the top of orrest head with stunning views at the top well worth it..sensible shoes required as some gentle climbing up rocky steps required or a longer path leads up but well worth it
