Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.

Looking for places to visit we saw the attractive photo of this garden centre cafe overlooking ponds with ducks and travelled for an hour to get there. We struggled through the impossible door with the wheelchair and looked at the pile of menus. Hardly any were even appropriate ie Mother’s Day has long gone, too late for Breakfast menus as finish at 11.30 other menus missing. Confusing. Not much choice. The Lincolnshire sausages were not like any Lincolnshire sausages I’ve ever eaten and I’ve had 70 yrs in Lincolnshire. There was a large piece of bone, not even gristle, solid bone which at first I feared was my tooth thank heavens it wasn’t. I brought the sausages home for the dog as it put me off. I didn’t mention it to the staff as tbh there didn’t look to be anyone who would have been interested. The view I hoped to see from the window was impossible as the windows were too high. Shame as it could all be nice with a bit of thought and effort.

What a stunning music venue. The art work is amazing. Take time to wander around and take pics of the wall art, the lyrics and the music links to Mods, Rockers, Beatles, even Frank Sinatra himself. There’s nothing around like this place. Bar staff were super fast serving a packed out first night and huge choice of beers and Ciders. Then you take a walk across the most famous “crossing” in the world, accompanied by The Beatles at your side, to step “outside” to a stage with live music with a huge area to dance the night away. Fantastic venue.

Great spot for real ale and lovely to see a proper pub. Range of drinks is always brilliant. The only reason it's not 5 stars is just because it gets sooooo busy and space is definitely a premium.

We had a few minutes and as 1 of us had never been here, we decided to check out if we could sit somewhere...
A friendly welcome with an 'of course, please come in'. There was some space, in a corner on the ground floor, near the bar. I've never seen V&C from here, I wasn't even aware there was an 'upstairs as well'.
    But it was pleasant, relaxing.
I opted for a Mexican Stand Off, which tasted very nice, very interesting.
the sourly Tequila/Citrus (and more) mix, with paprika spices around the top of the glass (why just at 1 side of the glass, by the way ?). A delicious combi with a lightly spicy aftertaste.
I found it funny seeing a Duvel-case upside-down, behind the bar.

Once again a fabulous meal with attentive service. The pub was festooned with amazing Christmas decorations. Impossible not to feel Christmassy! What a special Christmas Eve.

Nice to see the fox doing food again and for the price the Sunday roast was well worth the money. The fox has always been known for good food at a good price. A great atmosphere made better by great staff 👍

We wanted somewhere to eat lunch on 28 April while visiting Lincoln and called in. Jo, behind the bar, said they only served snacks like peanuts and crisps but we could eat our own food if we bought a drink. So we did. Not many pubs allow you to do this, so we appreciated their friendliness.

Seen quite a few comedians here, Tim Vine, Tom Stade, Iain Stirling to name a few and always enjoyed the shows. Space is at a premium however, the seating is crammed together with the bare minimum of room between each one. Not been crammed in like that since assembly at Primary school. Still, it's as good as it gets in Lincoln and it'll do for now.

I’d heard the rumours, the tales and the myths surrounding a shadowy place called ‘Bazs Bar’. Who hadn’t? Let’s be honest. It’s more legendary in Lincoln than the Imp itself. Anyone who is anyone has been to Baz's Bar. Drunk there, crawled out of there, been humiliated there.
Imagine my surprise when I married a close friend of the proprietor of said bar. She knew of the character known as ‘Baz’ and she’d been involved in many of shenanigans that preceded the bar’s opening. She’d slept in nightclubs with him. She’d been a taxi driver when he’d been so far under the influence of the power of vodka that he’d been talking to a pizza in the city centre. And the pizza was making more sense.
    The tales were plentiful.
Then, I met the proprietor. It was a day never to be forgotten. The man is as zany as he is physically imposing. Madcap, nutty, bizarre.
    Drunk.
A man who has been outwitted by hot pizza.
Baz’s Bar is like nothing you’ve ever experienced. It’s a place where the word ‘Sober’ doesn’t exist. The drinks flow like water over the Niagara Falls. The food is nothing to write home about unless you bring your own kebab. Obviously.
The host is a strange man. Funny, warm, generous, and undoubtedly an utter idiot. He offered to entertain my daughter on her eighteenth birthday at the bar. I said I’d rather send her into a lion’s den after it hadn’t eaten for a week. I’m no fool.
Baz’s Bar is a work of wonder, a glorious place and you won’t return home the same person. Frankly, there’s a chance you won’t return home at all.
10 out of 10 and very highly recommended.
    Just don’t mention the pizza.

unfortunately the only problem I have is that there seems to be no disabled access for toilets, the toilets are very narrow to get into and not easy to use if you are not agile
