Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This impressive larger than life statue of Tennyson stands on the green next to the Cathedral. Created by the artist George Frederic Watts, it was completed when he was in his mid eighties and sadly he did not live to see it placed in position. The statue includes the poets dog and in his open hand, Tennyson holds a flower, relating to a line in one of his poems. The statue can be reached by walking around the Cathedral to the left, or from inside via a side exit door in the refectory. Not a must do, but if you have the time it is well worth a few minutes.

This War Memorial is located in the church yard outside St Andrew's Church in Stainfield. It has a stepped base and a large stone cross. There is also another wooden plaque inside the church.

There are names listed from the first world war at the base.

This and the lovely church are well worth going out of your way to visit if you are in the area.
