Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Would like to give another big thank you to Allan Weston and his pal Carl for giving us a great Liverpool experience on the Beatles walking tour. It really emcopassed a fuller perspective of Liverpool history as a whole and how the city itself was formative to the forging of the greatest band in history. They were both kind, knowledgeable, and had a great sense of humor. I highly recommend this tour. Cheers.

What a wonderful outing. Prompt pick-up, tons of insight by Claire. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour. She even knocked on the door of Ye Cracke to get the hours of operation. Her insight into the city, the Beatles and the people were second to none. Bought her book on self guided tours as well. I would highly recommend.

Gareth Byrne, my taxi guide, is an extremely friendly Beatles encyclopedic tour guide.

I thought I knew a lot about the fab four, but Gareth showed me much I had only vague knowledge of and has memorabilia with him to illustrate all the things i did not know.
He is also a liverpudlian whose accent is understandable!

His tour cost was very reasonable, and i would happily recommend his services to anyone wishing to know about the Beatles. He takes great pictures of you at all of the famous sites! He is like a professional photographer.

One caveat... just don't ask him about Liverpool football teams ... he's a Sale Sharks rugby fan!

Thanks for making my business weekend great!

Jean, our tour guide who grew up in the area where the Beatles lived, was the best guide we have ever had. She picked us up with a separate driver and for 4 1/2 hours, she took us on a Ticket to Ride and we experienced everything about the beginning of the Beatles and life in Liverpool. We walked around the area where they first played then spent hours, in a nice Mercedes van, touring all of the places they made famous...Strawberry Fields, Penny Lane, saw the grave of Eleanor Rigby, John Lennon's house...just to name a few places we visited. At each stop, the appropriate song was played which added to the fun.
Jean was so passionate about the Beatles that she seemed to make their story come alive. We were sorry that the tour had to end. Besides being a fabulous tour guide, Jean was a lovely, fun person.

Definitely visited some of the important places I didn't know about beforehand. Eg the Hillsborough memorial. Slightly annoying that the commentator insisted on Liver (pronounced like the thing you eat) rather than Liver, which is how it is pronounced! Would recommend earphones to hear the commentary - it was a bit noisy with traffic at times. Otherwise very good.

From the moment James greeted us, we had a new friend. James was enthusiastic, very knowledgeable, always upbeat, never rushed, and cheerfully answered all our questions. It was everything we could have wanted in a Beatles tour, and so well presented by a terrific guide. Additionally, we now know what Scouse is, in that James is the real deal, authentic Scouse! Thanks again James!

Such a fun way to explore the city and learned so many interesting facts about random buildings.
You can take breaks from the quest at each stop to explore

This was an amazing experience! Our tour guide (sorry I forgot your name!) was so friendly and full of local knowledge and even recommended a great, budget-friendly place to get some lunch. My favourite part was The Albert Docks

Dave was our guide and if I could give him 10 stars, I would. Not only did he give us a full day Beatles tour, he shared the history of Liverpool with us and he was a Liverpool FC fan!! YNWA.
We really enjoyed our day with Dave and if we ever make it back to Liverpool, we'd request a tour with him again.
