Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Heading to Our Lady And St Nicholas Church I passed what is known as Simpson Fountain, a beautiful and historic fountain with a great story attached to it.
During the 1800's a man called William Simpson would walk around the dock area of Liverpool with a bowl were he would ask for donations for worthy causes ,the bowl he collected the donations in became famous and was known as the " Williams Bowl " when this man died in 1883 it was decided to remember him with this monument of a fountain that was installed on the outer walls of Our Lady And St Nicholas Church in 1887 ,I love the story and the historic nature of the fountain that's most definitely well worth a few minutes of your time if you're in the area and easy to locate along Chapel Street.

One of the most famous fountains in Liverpool is The Steble Fountain.
Located on St George's Place ,this statue was envisioned when a certain Colonal Richard Fell Steble in 1887 donated ÂŁ1000 to commission a fountain that was unveiled in 1889 ,the work of sculptor Michael Joseph Napoleon Lienard ,its a wonderful water feature, each of the figures are well detailed, its such a photogenic fountain that's most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the area and easy to locate along William Brown Street.

The Piazza Fountain is a very cool water feature that's well worth viewing if you're in this part of town ,dominating Beetham Plaza ,designed in 1962 by sculptor Richard Huws and unveiled in 1967 ,it's been a fixture of Liverpool Business District for decades ,nicknamed the " Bucket Fountain " ,I just love the look of it and it's good that it's in operation throughout the year ,very photogrpenic, makes for some great photographic opportunities .
There's been rumours that this fountain may be moved to a more touristic location ,not sure I'm in favour of this ,at the moment it's easy to locate along Drury Lane .

There's a great little fountain in the beer garden of The White Hart Pub that looks beautiful, I'm not sure there's any age attached to it but it looks authentic, its got the date 1766 emblazoned on it ,its most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the area and easy to locate along Hope Street in the beer garden of The White Hart Pub.

Located on Williamson Square is the Williamson Square Fountain, to be honest you wouldn't know if it's a fountain as it's never working in fact it looks like a rusted sheet of metal,I can't remember the last time it actually worked ,if it's not going to work then maybe it should be discarded, that's only my opinion but the adage of " use it or lose it " springs to mind.
