    We had an amazing time.
A singer was singing Beatles songs next to the statues and people were singing and dancing.
    An amazing atmosphere.

Only found out about this a few days before our visit to Liverpool.

Didn't book as couldn't be sure of arrival time and also wanted to see what the weather was like.

Turned up and were able to get tickets and were taken up, and entertained, by the lovely Dan - a man who clearly enjoys his job, his enthusiasm came over so strongly.

In the event we were lucky with the weather and had superb views all over Liverpool and over to New Brighton and beyond.

Because of this we took the metro out to New Brighton the following day because we could see the dome of SS Peter&Paul from the Liver building and wanted to see more.

If you are in Liverpool this is not to be missed. Oh and the stairs aren't anywhere near as bad as the website suggests.

To visit Liverpool is my dream. Finally I was there. Walking around the Beatles museum, Cavern club, all the pubs with famous names and suddenly to meet John himself. It's amazing!

The Eleanor Rigby Statue is a beautiful piece of artwork along Stanley Street, the work of singer and entertainer Tommy Steele ,it was unveiled in 1982 and dedicated to " all the lonely people " from The Beatles Revolver album of 1966 ,this to me is were the powerful message is conveyed, the statue is beautiful to view but there's no discernable features to the face ,my interpretation of this is that its a statue to remind us all to be more caring for the homeless on the streets, we're all guilty of walking past these people without looking into their eyes ,their souls to see the suffering they are enduring, that's my take on the statue, I'm probably wrong ,who knows ,its personal feelings I suppose and the feeling a great piece of art brings out of you,its a statue well worth a few minutes of your time if you're walking down Stanley Street.

My favourite statue in Liverpool is the wonderful and very poignant Christmas Truce Football Statue.
An outstanding and outstandingly beautiful statue depicting the famous Christmas Day Truce from World War One when soldiers from the British lines and German lines laid down their arms and left the trenches and met in " no man's land " and exchanged gifts such as Schnapps, chocolates, cigarettes and even played a game of football ,this is the scene depicted ,two soldiers shaking hands to start a game of football, the work of sculptor Andy Edwards ,its such a poignant statue to view,I passed this statue while on the way to The Dispensary Pub ,snow falling added to the beauty of this statue, if you're in the area its a statue to most definitely check out and easy to locate along Leece Street.

Along William Brown Street is the most touching and poignant memorial in Liverpool namely The Hillsborough Monument Memorial .
This is in honour of the 97 victims of the Hillsborough disaster that occurred on the 15th of April 1989 ,what should have been a grand day out for supporters of Liverpool F.C and Nottingham Forest F.C turned into a day of sorrow, the memorial is so beautiful, it commands your attention, the poem by David Charters is so touching, its just so good seeing those who perished remembered, its most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the area and easy to locate along William Brown Street.

I was walking around the wonderful gardens of Our Lady And St Nicholas Church and passed Homeless Jesus Statue ,viewed it before on many occasions, it still impresses me.
A beautiful and thought provoking statue depicting a person asleep on a bench ,obviously homeless, look closely at the feet and there's definitely nail wounds alluding to Jesus ,the work of sculptor Timothy Schwarz ,it reminds us of the suffering of poor souls who sleep rough every night on the streets of every city throughout the United kingdom.
Well worth checking out if you're in the grounds of Our Lady And St Nicholas Church.

Jumping the train down from Kirkby to Liverpool City Centre to visit some of the great pubs our city is justifiably famous for I jumped off at Liverpool Central Railway Station and in the concourse of the station is this great statue of a Liverbird ,the most emblematic symbol of our city.
The work of sculptor Rick Myers and was sculptured in remembranceof Paul Rice ,its a wonderful looking statue ,its well detailed, its very photogenic, its most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the area and easy to locate in Liverpool Central Railway Station.
