Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- Neil KLiverpool, UK824,983 contributionsStanley Park is without a shadow of a doubt one of Liverpool's most beautiful parks, an oasis of calm in our bustling city ,walking around this lovely park is so good and one of its most popular area's is Stanley Park Lake.
The lake covers a large area and is open for fishing ,there's bench seating down by the lake area and some nice sandstone bridges ,its a very photogenic area of the park and makes for some great photographic opportunities and adds to the joy of walking through Stanley Park and if your in the area most definitely well worth a visit.Written 19 August 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. This is the link between the Leeds -Liverpool Canal ,there are amazing views of the Port Of Liverpool Building, The Cunard Building and the most famous The Royal Liver Building collectively known as The Three Graces, there's also great views out onto the River Mersey, all in all its most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the area.Written 7 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Constructed in 1848 ,this was one of four docks constructed at the same time ,this dock served the city for many years, with the decline of the docks in the 1980's the dock system became redundant ,its great to view the dock area, best views in my opinion is from Bascule Bridge, great panoramic views of the dock and you can also view the Victoria Tower ,a six faced clock known for years as " The Dockers Clock " .
It's a wonderful and historic dock to view, most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the area and easy to locate along Regent Road.Written 11 April 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The Nelson Dock obviously named in honour of Lord Admiral Horatio Nelson was constructed in 1848 by architect Jesse Hartley a man who revolutionised the redevelopment of the docks in Liverpool, at its time one of the most important docks in Liverpool but nowadays converted into a wastewater treatment works, there are still great signs of the docks, the huge impressive stone walls are very evocative, if you're in the area its most definitely well worth checking out and easy to locate along Regent Road ( Dock Road ) .Written 11 April 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Neil KLiverpool, UK824,983 contributionsConnecting to Collingwood Dock, Nelson Dock and Trafalgar Dock is Salisbury Dock and although not that much to look at now it was at its time of constructed one of the busiest dock area's of Liverpool.
The work of architect Jesse Hartley who was so instrumental in the growth of the docks and conversely the growth of Liverpool as a city, the dock opened in 1848 and was busy until the decline of the docks in the 1980's ,the most distinctive feature of Salisbury Dock is the wonderful Victoria Tower ,this is a six clock faced tower known as the " Dockers Clock " for years.
This dock is a great reminder of our rich maritime past and is most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the area and easy to locate along Regent Road.Written 9 April 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
