Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- pavlllaPilsen, Czech Republic11 contributionsWe just couldn't miss Penny Lane when we visited Liverpool...
We only bought a few little things in the centre, but we were glad we could visit it on our way from Strawberry Field. It's easy to get here in a short bus ride.Written 1 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Only disappointment was the quality of the catering which was rubbish and the coffee was dreadfulWritten 20 October 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Thomas VOakland, CA17,489 contributionsA very good place to stop while you are in town as you can pick up a lot of information about the city, things to see and do, as well as some free maps and information about the region.Written 19 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jackie PLiverpool, UK2 contributionsWow, Wow, Wow. The Big Little Library has moved to a bigger unit opposite where it was before. It’s amazing. Has even more books for you to browse and they’re all free to take home. The space gives has a cosy atmosphere. There’s even chairs where you can sit and read a book to children with you or just loose yourself in the latest book you find. All the wonderful volunteers are still there so if you need help finding a book they’re on hand to help.Written 3 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - SharonJT67Durham, UK7,121 contributionsStayed nearby so walked through the Albert Docks twice daily, there is a wide range of one off shops selling speciality goods or souvenirs to a shop specialising in fudge & a couple of coffee shops too as well as restaurants such as Madre & Miller & Carter as well as the Pumphouse to name but a few, it’s also home to the Tate gallery & the National Maritime Museum, as well as a few unique food vans such as a yellow American school bus & a converted double decker, at night the fairy lights give it a more magical feel as you’re walking through, felt very safe during the day & night!Written 17 June 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - permiaIreland64,686 contributionsIn an attractive listed building are many services for the community. Books for lending, advice and internet access are just some available for the locals.
Interestingly, even though the Library was not funded by him, it was opened in 1902 by Andrew Carnegie.Written 24 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Marky DLiverpool, UK4 contributionsWe love coming the Irish Centre which is only a few mimute from Lime Street and they have some amazing nights with Nathan Carter, Wolf Tones, Acer Murphy and Ricky Tom linson to name a few. They have traditional Irish dancing, family days and Christmas grottos.
I've had so many great nights there and over the last 9 months or so hosted comedy nights here and was blown away by the support of the centre with the manager and his team setting up the venue to my liking and for Niall's very helpful suggestions (he's got bags of experience) for getting the best of the night for the audience and centre. Niall is a pleasure to liaise with in making your night a success.
The Centre is so warm, friendly and hospitable with that family feel that's lost in these pub chains.
The bar is so pocket friendly with the Irish shop for your goodies.... sky sports too!
What more could you want. Maybe check out what's happening if visiting the city as you can start your night here grabbing a show before back to the city until your feet fall off.
Consider the venue for your next special occasion too.
You'll be made up.Written 4 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Neil KLiverpool, UK829,679 contributionsPub hopping around this part of the city I passed this mural on the side of a building on Tithebarn Street and I must say it still impresses me even though I've viewed it many times.
I think its known as Nomad Clan Mural, this 21 feet tall artwork is the work of a group of all female graffiti artists ,its cool ,lots of nice features, I love the cormorant fishing for its meal ,its very photogenic and well worth checking out if you're in the area, although the building that's home to this mural is on Tithebarn Street the best views are from Eberle Street or Hackins Hey.Written 28 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
