Went to the Cavern Restaurant first. The food was good with excellent helpings.
Then we were booked in at the Cavern Club to see the Cavern Beatles.
Had to queue up round the back & although we were near the front of the queue when we got in all the best seats had been either taken or reserved ( even though blurb said seats were not able to be reserved ! )
However apart from not being able to see Paul playing as he was tucked away behind the speakers, the Cavern Beatles put on a great show. . The acoustic support act (sorry didn't catch his name) played lots of 60s songs to get the packed audience in the mood for a party.
The Beatles covered the whole career from early through psychedelic to the later songs.
It was a really good night not finishing much before midnight.

Great experience tour guide Peter was very knowledgeable and gave such a good tour of the Paddington site. Tony took us around the house site and gave us a great insight into what had happened when the site was used for other things. Would recommend a visit and will be going back for a further visit soon. Great work keeping and restoring history

Totally left-field, mentally challenging but always entertaining, the staff are amazingly attentive. Great for kids, great for 70 year old and everything in between. GO!

Visiting the cathedral has been on my list to visit for a while now, we walked up Duke Street from the dock area, it didn't take too long
It's a very impressive sight from outside and gets better as you walk around. I particularly loved the Lady Chapel.
I recently visited York minster paying a large amount for that privilege and I've got to say I actually preferred Liverpool Cathedral without the large queues and organised tours.
You can leave a donation if you want so free entry.
We didn't go to the cafe but the menu looked great.
Good toilets and nice gift shop
    Definitely recommend

We were staying local so decided to visit this museum. This museum covers many aspects of maritime history and the work taken to establish this chronicle of history must have taken years There was too much to take in on one visit so I decided to concentrate on the war side of this museum. I spent well over 3 hours there walking around looking at exhibits and articles on display .

Orto was recommended to us by a friend, so we gave it a try. Cosy atmosphere, varied menu (not too big), portion sizes adequate, food was delicious - it was like being back in Rome! Will go again.

Iā€™ve been coming to world museum for over 30 years and thereā€™s always something new and amazing to discover. We came here this time for the survival of bees exhibition which is Ā£12 per ticket which was well worth it as it was very factual and in depth exhibition about bees.
The rest of the museum is amazing with lots of ancient artefacts on display. My favourite area has always been the Egyptian exhibition. Well worth a visit and great day out for kids. They have a cafe on site and also picnic areas for bringing a pack lunch. So you donā€™t have to pay the high prices.

I attended the Renaissance Tour last Sunday. I know nothing about Renaissance paintings but the guide who was extremely knowledgeable catered for those in the group who knew more as well as those who didn't. Fabulous tour I recommend Simon Birtall who was brilliant a real gem of an afternoon and great value at Ā£6.00

Based on William Brown Street, stepping back in time is what it feels like here. I thought the balance of modern and classical heritage was amazing. The Picton reading room is truly a remarkable place to read, sit, and think, very inspiring and a place packed full of history.

You can walk around and take up the brilliance of the amazing library.

Well recommended for that lazy day in the sun, take a picnic and you will have a lovely time. Plenty of grassed areas to lounge and a great place for walks, the perimeter I believe is just over 2 miles if you walk it, great exercise.
Lots of parking but can get busy, dog friendly as well.
There a cafe for tea and coffee and I think light snacks we never went there as e had our picnic, definitely a regular here.
Just watch out if driving and be alert of the new speed limits, new limits well signposted.

We stayed at the Casbah and Bonnie was an amazing host, very kind to us and our family and we absolutely loved it. We stayed in the Best suite which was super and perfect for our large family! We also had the tour by Roag and that is one not to be missed! So many great stories about the origins of the Beatles and how the Casbah Coffee Club came about. Highly recommended all round!!
