Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Alan NCrescent Head, Australia67 contributionsGreat room, fantastic performance by Nigel Kennedy, and a very good fish pie.
Top night in a wet West End. Highly recommended.Written 1 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It is in Soho on busy Kingly Street & if you blink, you could miss it. Sooo...dont blink!! Great local blues acts on any night (generally)...friendly bar staff & great music. For a small venue, its punching way above its weight... "In Blues We Trust"Written 18 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Janna S2 contributionsThe food was tasty and the service was quite lovely.
However, one can argue wether or not the food might be a bit overpriced.Written 6 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The club is located just around the corner from Pizza Express jazz club and Ronnie Scott’s so right where the action is. As per their website this is an intimate setting ( I could have reached out and played the drums) with a limited view of the musicians if you are not in the main lounge so definitely make a booking if intending to visit for the first time like us. Not intended in any way a criticism as we really enjoyed our visit and the band The Harry Ashworth Quartet were superb. Well worth a visit and a great alternative to the main stream venues previously mentioned. Book early for the best seats as this is a very small venue!Written 27 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Riggs ReviewsGrendon, UK104 contributionsThis evening we went to see ‘Blonde: Marilyn, Madonna, Gaga’. What a great show, the performers were spot on with fab mix of songs and humour.
The venues its self is iconic. a real throwback to the 1920’s with amazing servers.
I’m sure whatever you see here will feel special as it’s such an intimate bar.Written 27 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - hollystalkerChelmsford, UK38 contributionsWe went to this little club to see a Pink Floyd tribute band, On The Run, who were amazingly as near to Pink Floyd as you could get. It was a friendly place with a comfortable vibe. As a 75 year old female I didn’t feel out of place!Written 1 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - SartreLivesKirkwall, UK314 contributionsThe Polish Jazz Cafe is in the basement across from the Premier Inn. Very comfortable booth seating and some tables and chairs set up cabaret style.
Drinks are very reasonable.
Good room for non-electrified instruments but don't let that stop you. They get in decent bands on a rotating schedule. We saw a group who did a tribute to our favourite guitarist, the late Jeff Beck.
The thing to watch out for here is the start time, if they say the music starts at 8 - then it does! Don't be late. Must be one of the few clubs in the world where the music actually starts on time - which is great especially if you find yourself exhausted by the city.
Sometimes it is nice to be able to sit down and listen to live music. If I lived closer I would hang often. Give this place a visit, you will enjoy yourself.Written 12 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There are various DJ’s playing an eclectic mix of Soul, House, R&B & reggae to an eclectic mix of people. Good vibe, friendly people and great music, well worth a place saver in your diary.Written 24 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - AnaPiussiLondon, UK1,739 contributionsIt was my first time at this place today (18 March) and I really enjoyed. I called one day before and got a table in front of the stand.. maybe a table in the back would had been better. Definitely I will ask for it next time. The venue looks like that very underground places you find around London. A small door that takes you to a basement and there a tiny bar but an open area where a band will play.
Pretty cool indeed. We saw a quartet. Great music. I am aware there are shows almost every evening and they allow the students from Greenwich university to play as well. U can take ur own food to the place.. I saw a couple that brought cupcakes but I am not sure if people will really take food there. It is £10 cash to enter. But the bar you can pay with card. I would just had enjoyed more if they serve cocktails. Jazz and cocktails are perfect match. But definitely I will come back.Written 18 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. live music, great ambience, feels like walking back in time.
characters from the local area and great bar staff.

- Sarah-Alexandra A13 contributionsThis was a wild experience! Magic, caberet, jazz, theatre, loved it all. Definitely will recommend 💚great drinks too.
To the organisers - stick numbers on the seats and end with a song! Everyone is up and ready to dance!Written 5 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - kitty m9 contributionsWhen we arrived - we were amazed by the décor and beauty of the bar itself! The cocktails were presented beautifully and tasted amazing - not shy of alcohol at all!
However the experience from 10 dropped down to a 2! Me and my friends enjoyed a dance and the band that night returned the same energy (btw the band was fantastic! great stage presence). The waiter that served us was too nothing less than fantastic! but the waiter (manager) approached us after an hour of dancing - and told us to sit down because it was against their risk assessment? ODD... till someone else explained another costumer made a complaint (a couple).. from feeling embarrassed and humiliated - we decided to leave; if that wasn't the case we would have stayed and purchased a lot more than we already have. We were made to feel uncomfortable towards the end.
My advice is if your looking to be a bore and sit down and cant appreciate the music - then this is the place for you! But if you are young and wanting fun, don't bother.
May I add the waiter who served us deserves a promotion! & the band needs more recognition!
Thanks
