Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Went to two concerts with Mamas Gun. The space at the entrance level with the scene is smaller than I remember. Toilets and wardrobe downstairs. Upstairs tables with dinner options. They take in about 400 guests per night. Nice staff, prices in the bar was OK. I had a good time.

This place is awesome. Great staff - who are super friendly, welcoming, & look after you do well - they care about the brand, the bar, the beer, & the customer. I also had a great (plant based burger) that was so tasty.
I’ve now visited 7-8 BrewDog bars, & this one is hands-down my favourite. I can’t wait to go back soon

I love this place, it is our 'go to' pub whenever we are in Camden. Friendly staff etc, but the toilets are absolutely disgusting, and the stench makes your eyes water. Please sort this out as it's really gross, and ruins an otherwise great establishment.

We were here again on 13/01 and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
    The music was amazing.
This is my favourite music venue and the performers never disappoint.

Visited with my teenage son in October to see the band 'Wage War' alongside some other excellent support bands.

Queuing starts early and goes round the block down a side road. We weren't bothered about where we stood but if you are after a place close to the stage you will of course have to queue early.

The ticket conditions stated that my son's age group was allowed accompanied by an adult, but the door staff still wanted ID from him (he's 17) - luckily they accepted his travel pass but they advised next time to bring a photo of his passport. Therefore it seems they are stricter on age than advised on the booking info.

Inside is a large downstairs area, but we were happier in the smaller upstairs area - we found standing positions on a platform right at the back with a railing to lean on in front. There are also some high stools overlooking the downstairs area, but these were all taken. There is also seating and tables in a room alongside the upper area if you want to leave the concert and have a drink and chat. As an all-standing venue, this could be useful for accompanying parents to sit in if attending with youngsters! However, luckily I was happy to see the bands anyway!

There is a bar upstairs that sells a decent range of drinks and the two bar staff were very nice and efficient, and wait times for that bar were minimal.

Acoustics for the music were excellent from where we were.

I booked a visit to BYOC as a present so we visited as a double date. It’s hard to find as the door was closed and the only signage was the letters above the door which do not stand out, part of the speakeasy theme.

You walk down the stairs into a room that looks like an old school casino, we were sat on a large table with other groups but this was nice as we had our own privacy but could also interact with the other guests.

The mixologist got to work right away, picking our cocktail for us which tasted great. As soon as you are nearly finished with one, another shorty follows, in the 2 hours we were there the 4 of us got through both the bottles we brought. Throughout you are given jugs of water (to survive the experience!).

We visited on a very hot day so it was very warm and humid down there, they had some fans to try and help with this, I wouldn’t expect it is usually that hot in the room. The only minor gripe we had was rather than being charged on entry, we were charged mid-way through which interrupted the experience. I think this may have been because they were understaffed though as our mixologist was doing everything, I suspect usually there is someone at the entrance to take care of payments etc.

Highly recommended as a date or with friends, I will be going back!

I visited Simmons Mornington Crescent on Friday 13th October. I was warmly greeted by the manager Alessandra. She accommodated my request to choose another table and ensured that our service was quick and professional. The other bar staff were also really charming and I'm sure that it's a reflection of how well she motivates her team and also ensures fabulous customer service. The cocktails were lovely and fabulous happy hour prices!

I had to visit this iconic Britpop location. It’s a proper dive bar. The bartenders were friendly . There was live music which was pretty loud, but there was an outdoor seating area to get away from the noise.

The pub was difficult to find as it has no signage on the outside so had to locate it via Google maps.
Once inside the main pub it was excellent ambiance and looked a good place to come for some rock music.
This was my first time and the purpose of the visit was to see the band Damn Truth.
The gig venue is up a narrow stair which starts by the entrance to the toilets. You queue upstairs and are given a wristband at the tiny kiosk.
You then enter the venue which is a small narrow room.
The merch desk is right by the door and adjacent to this is a man selling cans bottles out of a mini fridge. If you want the full range of drinks you have to return back down the narrow staircase as you do if you want to use the toilet.
I didn’t drink during the gig as I couldn’t be bothered trying to carry multiple drinks up a narrow staircase whilst people were coming down. The beer was limited in the fridge.
I drink real ale and this bar only served craft beers like many bars in Camden. No cider upstairs which is what my friends were drinking.
The stage is very small and low so unless you get there really early or are 6ft 6inch don’t think about seeing the band. I occasionally saw them if they stood on the monitors.
The PA is suspended on the ceiling and with the combination of the room can have different effects.
For the support act we stood at the side nearer the front but the vibration was immense and uncomfortable. Don’t get me wrong I like loud music but if felt too intense there.
We moved back for Damn truth and the sound quality improved and there was no vibration. The sound quality was good but the view was that poor I was finding myself trying to see the band the phones being held up.
Never saw the drummer and only saw heads of the band.
This is a personal thing but I like to see a band as-well as hear them.
Shame as the band sounded excellent the atmosphere was great for a small venue.
I can’t recommend the venue for gigs but everyone else looked fine.
