Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely gallery with some fantastic pictures ( some very famous!). We had a lovely wander around which took just over an hour although you could stay as long as you want. It wasn't particularly busy which was nice. Also great that students get free entry!

I love the food hall! I love the patisseries and they are always so delicious! However, I bought 5 desserts and after I got home, about 2 hours later, only 4 were in the box. Quite annoying considering they are quite expensive, despite the missing item was the cheapest. For a high end department store you expect better and it wasn't even busy. Next time I will be more attentive and check my bag before leaving but that shouldn't be my job!

Great toy store for everyone. We liked the entertainment from the employees. Prices are noticeably the same than in average toy stores - high. Don't hesitate to travel the five floors of the building, there is so much to see !

This shop is wildly expensive but a treat for the eyes. If your budget is limited you should treat it as a museum and just enjoy looking. The French call art nouveau ' le style Liberty' and Libertys are still producing their own wonderful designs, particularly in fabrics in their own cotton called Tana Lawn, as well as satin silk. And there are often remnants on sale at reduced prices (stll pretty high).

I'm a big HP fan so of course I had to make a stop here on my visit to London. The store is small but it has a lot to look at. The day that I went wasn't particularly busy (It didn't hurt that it was a Wednesday at 11AM) so it was more enjoyable than the HP shop I went to while in Edinburgh. Although there are a lot of cute things I don't think there are necessarily anything that you can't find online. Again come here if you are fan and you want to be surrounded by HP memorabilia but know that most of the stuff sold here can be found online.

FYI: the books such as the potions book from the 6th movie are actualy journals and have no content inside them. It would be so cool if they could come up with some content of what would have been in these books. I would totally buy every one of them if something like that ever got released.

We visited at around 8:30pm on a Monday evening (they open until 10pm) and there was no queue, either to get in or to purchase merchandise. Everything in the store is highly overpriced, but it is a visual spectacle to see. You can take pics with giant M&M statues posed like Abbey Road, or in various other parts of the shop, which is fun. You can also do an interactive screen to find out what colour you are most like, and can do things like print your face or your message on M&Ms for a high price. There are lots of souvenirs but be prepared to pay for them. Worth it for a look if you don't have to queue.

We love this primark however it can become very hot inside the shop. They should have some kind of hair conditioning set in place for the summer days. I feel for their workers.

We love Harry Potter. We were excited to come to King's Cross Station one day to see Platform 9 3/4 (we did not wait in line to take a photo at the wall. I took a photo of just the wall without us in it). The store is very cool. We got a couple great souveniers.

I came to buy props for a runway show. There are some great stalls with sellers with amazing antique wares, and a few with the normal cheap jewellery tat.

My minus point would be some of the indoor area sellers are pretty grumpy and unhelpful. Give them a miss and stay outside where there are. some great sellers with very interesting wares, are well informed and happy to help you make your purchase.

(My favourites are the two tables selling Roman jewellery and antiques!)

Sloane Street comes off Sloane Square and there are a number of fancy shops along this street. The majority of these are out of most people's price range but it's nice to dream.

It's quite easy to get to from Sloane Square tube station which is served by the Circle and District lines.

Eating pizza doesn't make us Italian, any more than playing baseball turns Japanese into Americans. That said, I concede that, visiting London can turn you into a book-lover. Indeed, reading culture is deep-seated in London. So much so that we see bookworms everywhere in London, from underground to cafeteria.

That's why our family headed to London's famous bookstore on the very morning of arrival, even before we think of Westminister Abbey.

The Edwardian bookshop close to where we're staying, Daunt Books, is arguably the most beautiful one in London. It boasts long oak gallaries and stained-glass windows, and is home to travel guides and literature arranged by country. A bookstore so large, so thrilling, and so inspiring that we spent more than an hour. We bought the hardcover "The Boy, The Mole, The Fox and the Horse". The book has a slightly torn corner, and there isn't another copy. We were offered a discount, to our delight.

I daresay that visiting bookstore like Daunt Books is a must when you visit London.

The Cyber Dog store is a haven for sci-fi and cyberpunk enthusiasts! Walking in feels like stepping into a futuristic world, with neon lights and pulsing techno music. The clothing is like something straight out of a sci-fi movie, with vibrant colors, metallic fabrics, and cool, tech-inspired accessories. It's a bit pricey, but the quality and uniqueness of the designs make it worth it. The staff are super friendly and just as into the cyber aesthetic, which makes the experience even more fun. If you love geeky, futuristic fashion, Cyber Dog is definitely the place to check out.
