Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Our inside tour guide was David and he was incredible. He made the experience , well magical. No pun intended. ;)

Be prepared for a full long day. For Harry Potter fans this will be no problem. Of course don’t miss the butter beer and butter beer ice cream.

For any Downton Abbey fan this is a must do! Our tour guide was fun, knowledgeable, and gave you enough time and space to experience it all. Her flip book of the scenes in the show showing us where we were and what we were seeing was great! Highclere Castle is just stunning! I truly wish they'd let us take photos inside. We never felt rushed in our visit. A small group tour like this is the way to go.

Very easy way to fill up a day and see the most out of Harry Potter origins. The bus is very comfortable and our guide was great. I do wish we got to see more and with more variety in Oxford, but otherwise it was an easy way to see a lot without having to organize too much. Definitely bring a cold lunch! There’s not enough time for you to get food throughout the day and you will be happy to have a sandwich on the bus.

We were so lucky to visit Highclere on this gorgeous fall day when the festival was occurring. In spite of the overly expensive cab ride from the Newbury train station (15 minutes @£40 each way, we were treated to a tour of Highclere, the setting for the PBS Downton Abbey. The castle is actually someone’s home, and exactly like to series. It was lovely and an unexpected treat.

This is a great tour - perfect mix of Harry Potter stuff and great sights of London. Sam was a great host and provided the perfect pace and mix of anecdotes to keep the energy up during the tour. Also - incredible value for money!

Fascinating overview of existing and sadly lost cinemas around Leicester Sq and Piccadilly. Many symbols , carvings and other evidence of them hiding in plain sight - just need to look up !
All brought to life by Nigels stories and quotes from the press at the time - assisted by Nigels booming delivery ! Recommended for any Cinephiles out there.

This was one of the best tours I’ve ever done! Michael was just a delight, and helped give my girlfriend a wonderful birthday tour around so many Harry Potter filming locations. His energy was great & he truly seemed excited about everything he showed us. A cool thing he did, was show us certain scenes of filming locations on an ipad to make the experience better! Our favorite part was being able to access the actual Platform 9 3/4 that the actors used, with Michael’s special access. This was truly an above & beyond tour & it was so nice being picked up from the hotel and having a private car. During rain & shine this was an amazing day!

Our family of four had a wonderful day tour with Rachael of International Friends. Everything was simple and planned accordingly, and it was the perfect mix of free time to wander and information. Started the day with a short drive, then 4 hours of independent time to explore the Harry Potter Studios as a family and enjoy lunch. Around 1pm we made our way to Oxford and enjoyed a nice tour of the village and also had an hour to explore the university town on our own.

The transportation provided was nice, safe, and relaxing so we could all nap in between our stops. Our guide, Rachael, was very lovely and was fantastic with kids. She offered fun trivia and awarded Hogwarts House Points which my family really enjoyed.

I'm doing separate reviews for the tour company and the studio tours. The studio was unbelievably good. The tour group was fine, but nothing really set it apart from any bus ride. If you're wanting anything like someone pointing out the sites or talking about what to expect at the studios, this isn't it.

On the plus side, it left from outside our hotel next to Victoria station and it was interesting seeing neighborhoods outside central London. But, while the themed wrap on the bus was cool from the outside, it interfered somewhat with the view.

It was nice that they showed part of a movie for the hour-plus long ride, the quality on the top deck was marginal and the sound wasn't in synch with the picture. On the way back, we sat on the lower level, and the quality was better. But they started the same movie over, so really we just watched the first hour of the movie twice.

It got us there, safe, so I guess that's what we really wanted.

"Harry Potter" was a significant part of my youth and now as an adult I still have lots of fondness for the books and films, which I watch with my sibling every autumn :-). This was my 4th visit to London and since I couldn't get tickets for the Harry Potter Studios, I thought I'd go on a HP-themed walking tour and discover some areas in the city I haven't paid much attention to so far. It was a good decision! I really enjoyed the walk through "Diagon Alley", "The Leaky Cauldron", "Gringotts" and other places familiar from the films.

Alex Scamander was a friendly, outgoing and charismatic tourguide with a sense of humor ;-) He made sure that the group (fans from all over the world, from Japan to California to the Netherlands, Germany, Austria and more!) was entertained by all things "Potter" throughout; at the beginning, we were sorted into our Hogwarts Houses :-) As a bonus, we also walked by some places seen in other London-set films from "Fantastic Beasts" to "Bridget Jones". Alex also shared some secrets about the casting process of key characters and other tidbits.

Overall I can recommend this tour to HP film-aficionados who enjoy exploring London on foot!

Family of five adult fans of Ted Lasso went on a 2+ hour tour of Richmond with Emmy, the founder of this tour experience. She’s super organized and knowledgeable and friendly and funny and explained things thoroughly. We had lovely weather for this time of the year which made it comfortable and easy to walkabout seeing the sights and hearing the behind-the-scenes stories of how a tv show is made. This was a terrific experience for all of us. Really well done!
