Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Definitely stunning views! We bought a two attraction ticket - London Eye & Madame Tussaud’s. It turned out far more economical to do this than to buy tickets to Madame Tussaud’s alone, so you could say the trip on the Eye was a bonus. The tricky thing was being asked for an entrance time for each attraction, particularly as we were relying on the hop on hop off bus to get to Madame Tussaud’s and back to the London Eye. That caused some stress! Naturally there were amazing views and there was very brief commentary giving us some indication of what we were seeing. However being first time visitors I would have much preferred a more comprehensive commentary without any assumption that I would recognise the various landmarks. We were fortunate not to have to queue too long (we arrived at 4 even though our booked time was 3 - because the bus took ages!) and we had lovely weather so these things made it ideal. I think this is something you should plan to do, but be aware that there can be wait times, and maybe take a map of your own. We were ushered into a cabin with more people than could be comfortably seated and although people stood up to look out the windows, it felt uncomfortable taking someone’s seat - and with a 30 minute trip, that’s also a consideration for some. Very helpful to note that there are toilets in the ticketing office near the Eye (but it doesn’t open until nearly 11am).

My husband and I visited in 2023 and found it to be great We booked for the 4 of us before leaving home online
You can only book about two weeks prior to visiting
ITS TOTALLY FREE....yes no kidding!!! something free in London
Well worth a visit unfortunatly it was raining really heavy so the outside bit was closed but still enjoyed it the gardens are lovely the bars are expensive which is to be expected and you can see for miles
35/ 36 floors up the lifts are very fast theres airport style security to go through but better safe than sorry situated on Fen Church Street well worth a visit

What a way to end a day by walking across such an amazing bridge in such a beautiful city. It gets even better when you are told that they are going to let a boat through. To watch it open up was like a dream come true!!! Best bridge in London by far.

It's hard to add to what others have already said, if you are visiting London you just have to do it, and it will be worth it. We pre-booked our tour, including an audio guide, and that all went pretty smoothly, excepting that it was not always easy to find exactly the painting the audio was discussing. Most of the palace is not open to the public, so it doesn't take that long to go through, that surprised me. It's just my opinion, but I think the Palace of Westminster is much more interesting to visit, better value, and a lot less crowded.

Used Covent Garden as a central meeting place. Check out Paul's Pattiserie which is a 1 min walk. Fabulous cafe. Tea & pain au chocolate 😍

The history and architecture of the building is amazing, but in truth we didn't enjoy our tour of the abbey quite as much as we did other iconic London sites. We did a self-guided tour with an audio guide, and found it a bit of a struggle to locate just what the audio was talking about at times. You will also share the abbey with hordes of other tourists. A full guided tour may have been a better option.

I was optimistic about my visit as i wasn't sure how long the experience would take, or if it would be worth it for the cost, but i was pleasantly surprised. Really enjoyed my visit here, the headset tour works well and the museum part is really big & informative. Worth a visit and good value for money.

Another symbol of London. Last time we visited London, Big Ben was covered up in scaffolding. Now that's all down, it's standing proud in all it's glory for everyone to see again. Very impressive.

I'm not a huge fan of audio guides, so booking a guided tour was a welcome experience. The tour guides for escorted tours were excellent, providing an engaging commentary as we walked through this magnificent building. They were friendly and at all the right moments, were funny, dramatic, and sincere. The explanations of the workings of each chamber were well done. It would be nice if there were more places or times to sit down during this long tour, as well as the ability to take pictures in more spaces, but despite that it was a very good tour well worth scheduling. The small cafe looks like it supports MP's as well. Combine this with a visit to the Churchill War Rooms and Westminster Abbey for a full day. Take your time and walk around the building, the park at the Victoria tower is very picturesque and a quiet respite from all the bustle around Big Ben. Would like to visit when Parliament is in session to get the full experience.

We came to the Shard without a booking and the staff were very helpful in getting us a table in Oblix. We stayed very late and the staff there were so wonderful, friendly and attentive. We didn’t feel the evening pass and only realised we were the last two left when we glanced around. When we headed down to the lobby, our Uber was taking a long time to come, so security said we could wait inside with them as it was freezing out! They did not finish up until 2am so we all chatted for probably 40 minutes - Mark, Regiane, and Mohammed were the loveliest, friendliest staff to chat to and really helpful. They made us feel so welcome and told us lots about the city. It’s always the people who make the place, and they are definitely fantastic additions to an already great experience.

Highlight of my day in London! I will say that the docent on duty @ 11:00 on September 30th was not the friendliest nor in a respectful mood. Nevertheless, we enjoyed peacefully our time of prayer and personal meditation in the side chapel where one waits for services. The 12:30 Eucharist was worshipful although “the President” seemed to be in a hurry. If he had spoken more slowly, the audience could have participated with more heart and soul than just fastly spoken/read words.

Harrods at Brompton London is the most iconic department store in London. Few words that I can use to describe it are luxury, refinement, classy, charming. The building has seven floors with over 300 departments selling all kinds of designer & luxury products. There is a Food Hall that sells a big variety of gourmet foods. There are also cafe & restaurants options. Whether one is shopping for luxury items, enjoying gourmet food or just having afternoon tea , I recommenced this place for travellers to London, to be soaked in the simply opulent atmosphere.

Fantastic day out, would like to give a special thank you to Max who was an absolute pleasure to guide us up, cracking jokes and giving us a good history lesson at the same time. Visited for my dad’s 60th and he thoroughly enjoyed the trip.

Our sons girlfriend sings in the Bach Choir and we booked up to see the performance of Carmina Burana on Sunday 6 October at 3pm. We had booked up three seats in the stalls which cost us £58.14 each. It is actually our first time within The Royal Albert Hall and it was just amazing and awe-inspiring. The architecture is just superb and the whole place looks better than I have seen on tv. The place was absolutely packed and I was so glad we turned up early. This allowed us to buy drinks, food etc and settle in.

The performances by everyone was simply amazing and we just loved it. Very hard to put into words just how spectacular the whole show was but we are still taking about it now. If you have never been to the Royal Albert Hall before certainly go as you will not be disappointed.
