Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

City farm, very close to the train station. Free to enter, lots of animals to see. Different types of ducks, goats, sheep, chickens, donkeys and ponies. Animals look well-cared for and happy. They sell food for a pound a bag but sadly no one was available to sell us any on our visit. Others had it, though, so maybe just poor timing. It’s run by volunteers so I can’t be too hard on them. Restrooms available and they are clean!

Great place to take the kids. Lots of activities going on during half term which the kids loved. Faves are the ferrets and alpacas ❤️

Take the trouble and hunt out this place. Great for Kids and it has a Community Green Flag. Lovely little cafe plus toilets.

Access road narrow and limited parking but this is a small enterprise so understandable. Entry charge is discretionary, we were happy to support this little farm which is ideal for our two year old granddaughter.
Bags of feed pellets can be purchased on site and this was welcomed by the animals and my granddaughter!
The small petting area did carry a small extra charge but again ideal for younger children. The cafe was an enjoyable end to our visit.

Nice place but not as many animals as years ago. Staff friendly and happy. It’s only card payment and some people don’t have card!!

We attended a wedding here, held in the very smart barn. It was a lovely environment for our crowd of animal lovers and community minded guest. Great atmosphere with lots of space. The staff were friendly and helpful. The farm animals are all used to having people around and petting the guinea pigs was a sweet extra. The evening ended with dancing and sitting on hay bales around a brazier. A wonderful place doing great work in the city. Well worth a visit.

Had an unexpectedly amazing time at this hidden gem of a farm. Firstly, had the luxury of feeding Suzie, one of the four amazingly cute lambs. Mel had provided us with some great facts about these lambs and other lovely facts. Then went on to see the chickens and Cockerals including darthvader, with his beautiful shades of feathers. Followed the path to meet the goats, sheep, cow (Shirley), pigs (Wilbur and Betty) who were fast asleep. Finally, Nora and Dora the beautiful donkeys.
Lovely gardens and opportunities to volunteer, which Miriam had kindly taken the time to share.
Thanks you to all the animals and Ofcourse staff for an amazing morning.

I’ve been coming here for a few years now and it is very good but recently has been hit and miss.

When it gets busy, there is no order in which people can come and sit down. This creates a “every group for themselves” situation which isn’t helped by the fact there is a back door entrance as well.

When paying £10 for a breakfast, you want it to be top quality. However lately, it’s coming out greasy and sometimes even cold. All ingredient are fresh and today it wasn’t greasy and spot on.

They have got to take milkshakes off the menu!! In the 5 years I’ve been coming here, the machine has either been broke or they don’t have the ingredients.

Menus are battered now and need to be changed.

Still worth visiting, just hope you don’t catch them on an off day

It's a great place for something local to do and see with the kids. It's also right next to paradise park where there is also a playground. They have a small cafe in there to sit and eat. Also sell small plants (eg. chillies, tomatoes). Not to forget they also have kids workshop.
They have few ranges of farm animals but no horses or pigs.
