There are multiple types of tickets you can book for this attraction alongside other London places of interest but we just chose to visit this museum and booked in advance on the website. There, you can book a standard ticket (starting at £29 approx), a 'fast-track' ticket (starting at £44 approx) or an 'afternoon saver' ticket (starting at £25 approx). We chose the latter however it is a one hour time slot so don't hang around if you want to take advantage of the cheaper ticket price as they will sell quickly!
Even though everyone is allocated timeslots when they book, you will still have to queue to get into this attraction. We were queueing for at least 15-20 minutes even though we arrived 5-10mins early.
Once inside, there is a delay whilst all the assembled visitors are loaded onto lifts to reach the first part of the experience. From here on in, you can pose with your favourite celebrities and marvel at the amazing craftmanship of these waxworks. One thing I will say is that there is a notable difference in accuracy of depiction between the newer and older figures. The main part of the reason we went was to see the new Ncuti Gatwa (Doctor Who) waxwork, which is just exquisite in its detail. This, in comparison to older waxworks like Winston Churchill, Barack Obama, Princess Diana etc is clear as although still fabulous, the aren't quite as 'spot on' as the newer models but this does not detract from the fun you can have at Tussauds.
There is a 'Chamber of Horrors' at Tussauds which doesn't have jump-scares or anything, it is just creepy as there are models of serial killers and some of their personal belongings on display but it is quite dark in that section, so just be aware if your sight isn't too good.
The Marvel Superheroes section is fun for the younger ones especially and there is a 4D experience which is a great addition to the day (no extra cost) but again, be expected to queue here as they reset the theatre area after each 'showing'.
The Gift Shop at the end of the experience sells everything you could possibly want from all sections of the experience but expect to pay slightly inflated prices even if you are just buying a bottle of water!
All in all, a great way to spend time in London for at least 2 hours but expect queues and A LOT of other people.
